Did they pick "S" because it sits between "R" & "T" in the alphabet or does it actually mean something this time? Also agree with @localzuk. I'm sure there are people who will find it quite suitable for use at this point in time but until more useful apps appear (or at least ones we'd like to see) and some of the other limitations like the one above (edge locked to bing) I don't yet see the incentive to use it.

Maybe it doesn't apply in this case (since Google's time service seems to work for you) but for anyone else just note if your internet (and possibly filtering) is provided by RM, they actively block SNTP requests to any address bar their own ones (e.g. ntp.ifl.net.)

Hmm, I'm not sure now. I looked at the one I'm testing with; in place of that "StartTileGroupCellWidth=", mine has "StartTileGroupsColumnCount=1" but I created my xml using 1511 so I guess 1607 does it differently now. You could try what I've got in mine or I've also noticed on this line: - it gives another "GroupCellWidth" so maybe change that to 3 as well? EDIT: Just saw your post.

@Joanne Change your "StartTileGroupCellWidth=" from 6 to 3 and it should go back to how you intended it.

We have about 20 of the HP 255 G5 models that we bought for our Sixth Form recently. On the one hand, I find AMD's mobile A6 APUs surprisingly good (as their mobile CPUs have been relatively sub-par in the past) and @sted if office took about 90 mins to install it was probably either one of their terrible essentials processors (or earlier models) or that you were installing on a hp install (or both) as we've found it to take a lot less (10-15 mins) on the ones we've got. However, we haven't been that impressed with them as several of ours have noisy fans for the first 5 mins of turning them on, the keyboards have very little travel in the keys and you have to take the entire bottom portion of the laptop apart to upgrade both hard disk and memory (which we did as we bought them without SSDs.) We have had Lenovo B50-30's (similar to B50-50 but without cooling fans as the celerons in them are low power) which have a significantly better feel to them. Keyboard still feels a little cheap but there is a bit more travel in the keys over the HP, and there is an easily accessible panel underneath which allows access to both RAM and Hard Disk as laptop normally should have. So it's probably better to buy the Lenovo and then upgrade it to an SSD after.

It looks like the Open University Hektor I which I believe was a Microcomputer you could build from scratch if you happened to be taking the OU course related to it. EDIT: Upon researching further, the course is one that teaches you how to design and build a microcomputer and the reason they're quite rare is that the OU required students to return them at the end of the course. Wonder how many actually did though...

Well, based on the name embossed on the front which my search was based on, it is the Batong Sunsonic BT-686 Multimedia Computer which is a Famicom (NES) clone but looks to also be an IBM-compatible PC in much the same way as the Amstrad Mega-PC is to Sega's Mega Drive.

Starship Titanic. I did buy a copy one year, but I didn't get very far before giving up. Far enough to recognise the screenshot though!

I guess I should have added that it'd be an easy upgrade for an Amstrad PC which were an absolute pain to take apart for repairs or upgrades. We had the PC2086 which had a panel at the back which when removed, gave you easy access to the expansion slots where a Hardcard could be easily added. This model however came with the option of a 20MB hard disk which normally sat where 1 of the floppy drives of the dual floppy model we had was. Theoretically, you could take it apart to retro-fit a hard disk in there but it really wasn't meant to be taken apart by the end user which is where a Hardcard then becomes a viable upgrade option.

MPEG-2 Decoder card? Possibly so that you could playback DVD Video before the functionality was built into Graphics cards? Am I warm? Also, that "IDE to ISA adapter" on page 4 I seem to remember was commonly called a Hardcard, which was basically a hard disk and controller on an expansion card that could easily be slotted into computers which didn't have one.

This site here may help and give you an insight to how you could use the t5740 beyond its function as a thin client. I've got one at home which I've managed to shoehorn in an SSD and 4GB of DDR3 RAM and have installed both Linux and Windows 10 (though the latter is a bit sluggish if you were to use it as a functioning desktop PC, however I'd think that the Xibo client would work okay.)
