Is there a different car I can have instead?

I don't know if it's still the case now, but when I last looked at TVs (which was about 4 years ago) I was looking at a specific Sony model where the smart version had something like: 4 HDMI, 2 USB 3.0 & 1 USB 2.0, DVB-T & DVB-S coax connectors (basically very well spec'd) whereas the non-smart versions only had 2 HDMI ports, 1 USB 2.0 and a DVB-T coax connector which seemed odd to me, but was probably their way of driving the sales to the smart set.

I'm hoping it'll be like some other laptops (like the Geobooks interestingly) where it comes with a proprietary adapter but still allows for USB-C charging.

Which seems odd as the AC Adaptors those come with, allegedly have a USB-C jack. EDIT: Nope, I'm wrong. It is a 45W adaptor but doesn't mention USB-C in the specs.

I've got a Unifi Video setup at home and I thought that was quite stable, however I've heard of a few issues with Protect that's put me off upgrading (as well as not being able to use a DIY setup anymore.) Interestingly, we had a large 'IT rip out and replace' at work this summer, replacing all our HP switches with UniFi ones. The switches are fine, but the MSP doing the works put in a Dream Machine to manage it all, but I've not been impressed with it at all as it often hangs for a fair while when loading into the management page once you login. One of the guys from the MSP did quip that we could replace our existing IT Suite cameras and have a UniFi Protect setup instead, but our current CCTV setup allows us to check the cameras rather quickly if we needed to whereas because the UDM takes so long to load, I'd be waiting a long time to check the CCTV if I was in a hurry. As I said, UniFi Video was fine and I didn't see any reason to EOL that.

Just as an FYI, I don't recommend anyone buy Lapcabbys at the moment as their lead times are horrendous. We ordered a 20-bay one 2 months ago and was given an ETA of the 3rd of November but is now the 19th, but this could change again as some orders have been pushed back as far as Feb 2022. EDIT: Just read some of the other replies on lead times, now I see why ours is taking its time.

Much like where I am. Where I work, I get great coverage on Vodafone but barely a bar on EE. Move 300 yards up the road back to where I live and it's the complete opposite. My Parents have both mobiles and a landline, but it's the landline that they use the most as it so reliable and have never had any issues from when it was originally installed in 1986 up to present day. Mobile phones on the other hand, due to the coverage we get, we tend to just give up on.

If you're creating a Mandatory Profile, do it on a computer with a newly installed copy of Windows otherwise you end up with lots of unwanted crud in the profile. Also if you follow a guide such as this one, it'll show you the process for doing it as well as what to remove afterwards. You'll also probably get others on here telling you that you shouldn't be using Mandatory Profiles and that Windows 10 doesn't support them. The truth is, they're not officially recommended anymore but the tools to make them are still there, including a fairly recent tickbox that allows you to mark a profile as Mandatory that wasn't in earlier builds or versions.

You can also run the following from a command prompt if like me, Powershell decided it wasn't going to play ball: It's a really nice feature for windows to have built-in as you just point the add new hardware wizard to the folder with all the drivers in, and windows will gradually re-install all of the necessary drivers for that device.

Which begs the question: Why didn't Atari or Apple do that instead of shoving useful materials into the ground?

The only place I can think of suitable (although not within 100 miles) is the landfill site where the E.T. Atari 2600 cartridges and the overstock of unwanted Apple Lisas ended up.

No problem. Hopefully that will solve it. For reference, Chrome also has similar policies that can be configured. They are Authentication server whitelist and Kerberos delegation server whitelist respectively, just to be different.

Have you configured these 2 policies? Configure list of allowed authentication servers & Specifies a list of servers that Microsoft Edge can delegate user credentials to I had to configure these to stop Edge asking for credentials for our local Sharepoint site.

Something I noticed with our Chromebooks a few months ago is that when they first connected to our wireless, they would drop out halfway through the DHCP handshake (which leaves behind loads of BAD_ADDRESS entries) then they reconnect and they're fine until the next restart/power-on. I suspected ChromeOS at the time as the issue seems to have since disappeared. I do wonder if the version of ChromeOS you're running is causing the issues you're seeing.

I vaguely remember when my Parents bought Andrex toilet paper back in the 1980s that it came in a paper-like wrapper, and then by the 90s they seemed to take a backward step in replacing it with plastic. I'm not sure why they bothered (other than it was probably cheaper.)

I nearly bought a rather nice Logitech 2.1 speaker set a few years ago but was put off by a number of reviews where people could hear French radio stations through the speakers.

Sounds like this might be it since the C202X is basically the ARM version of the C202SA (so same design more or less) and some of our students can be a bit heavy handed at times.
