Maybe the reason they're doing so badly may be because they still seem to be relying on the Tupperware parties for sales (at least as far as I can tell) and I know of no brick & mortar stores that sell any of their products. If there are any that I don't know of, I'd say they've not publicised it very well if at all, especially if their website is anything to go by as it didn't have any info on where I could buy. I did look at Amazon earlier and found a few of their products on there, however looking at these I feel that none of it stands out from the crowd anymore compared to stuff from companies like Sistema for example, who IMO make vastly better products.

If its anything like some of the Primary schools I've worked in, one of the admin machines will be designated as the "server" and any others will be configured (in a workgroup) to connect to that first admin PC for its resources.

Optiplex 3060 is Intel 8th Gen which is the earliest CPU gen Microsoft supports in Windows 11, so I'd imagine these PCs will run W11 just fine. Mind you, I've been testing W11 on a 2nd Gen i3 which (yes I know it's not supported but I don't care at this point for my own use) runs just fine for what I use it for, which is mostly Internet use, Office-based apps, Photoshop and the occasional playback of 1080p60 YouTube videos.

I think it's slightly mis-worded and really means "Uninstall this software if you unlink the group policy object or move the User/Computer object to another OU" based on what I remember.

Like you, I also bought one when they were going cheap, put it to one side and never used it. I'd like to use it (or see what it's like) but often wonder if I'd be better off selling it and getting more than I paid for it back, while it's still brand new in box.

We used their projectors at my last school, not great as I remember as we were always sending them back for repair. Then when they came back, they'd have the same fault or be missing parts. They might be better now though.

Shame really as I'm sure it would've cut down on loading times and tape load errors, but then on the other hand you wouldn't be able to make copies for all your friends (which I certainly didn't do!)

I've noticed that Excel have started packaging their networking components in brown paper packaging. When I purchased 10 Cat5e surface mount boxes from Comms-Express recently, 9 of them came in plastic (remaining stock I guess) and the last 1 in brown paper.

I think that's a glossy laptop screen. Also, I think the IWB looks strikingly similar to one of the old TDS Activboards we had at my last school.

I know of a few Primaries that use Sparklebox and don't see any issues with doing so. I even strongly recommended to one to stop using it based on the status of its founder but I'm fairly sure they chose to ignore me and continued to use it.

I wonder whether it'll get used properly. Based on the first picture, I can see some of the cyclists (the ones cycling adjacent to Trafford Road) just running over the top of the middle bit, much like most motorists when using mini-roundabouts.

Uniflow is made by a company called NTWare who are not affiliated with Canon. Their software will work with a number of imaging providers, except Canon strongly recommends Uniflow over the competition which is where the confusion usually comes.

This is an odd one as both the 3190 and 3190 2-in-1 use the same motherboards (only difference is that the 2-in-1 has extra components/connectors for the touchscreen) and the same system BIOS image. Have you tried re-flashing the BIOS in case this restores the .PK keys? EDIT: Just re-read your post that you did just that. Maybe if it'll allow you to, roll back to an earlier BIOS release?

Once upon a time, Panasonic used to sell replacement remotes for all their consumer electronics. Sounds like that may not be the case anymore. I know you said that you couldn't find any leaking/bulging/exploded capacitors but sometimes they can fail without showing any physical signs of doing so. I've had monitors before where the backlights have dimmed considerably and after replacing what seemed like perfectly healthy caps, this has often fixed the backlight issues.

Does anyone know if the Pornography category group blocklist in Smoothwall takes precedence over any whitelists? I've had a request from a member of staff asking for the URL Free online Greek and Latin Roots Finder to be unblocked. The root domain was blocked under Hate Speech and I've unblocked that okay but the URL she's asked for is being blocked under the Pornography category group and adding that URL to the same whitelists doesn't unblock it. I've checked the URL/page source and can't find anything initially untoward nor can I see why Smoothwall is flagging it up, though if anyone knows anything about the above site and/or can see anything about it I can't, would be helpful?

To be honest, I wouldn't have been that specific but I was looking through some old photos recently and for whatever odd reason at the time, I'd taken some pics of a Packard Bell PC (now long gone) where they'd done just that on the I/O shield and I suddenly thought of that!
