  1. Clarks Goretex shoes/boots/trainers are the way forward, ridiculous price in the shop but are excellent footwear. Have a look on eBay as for the past 5 years I've managed to buy a ~£150 pair of shoes/boots/trainers that are well made, comfy and 100% waterproof for no more than £50. Edit: This is what I've been wearing for the last 12 months, starting to look a bit tatty from all the crawling around us techs do! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-CLARKS-OUT-ROCK-LO-GORETEX-WATER-PROOF-TRAINERS-SHOES-SIZE-7-7-5-6-5/232533181187?hash=item36240ec303:m:mJoIr6K2lT0dQJ086lbakqA
  2. I used DBUpgrade in the end, all sorted thanks
  3. Sorry to drag up such an old thread but I need some help! We have just converted to academy and I need to patch SIMS for our new DfE number. I have patch 15913 and patch 16300, both come in a zipped folder and I have no idea how to install them, can't import them into SOLUS 3 because they aren't the right file type Thanks in advance, TomHD
  4. I have success emulating Android using NOX for mobile apps on desktop. You will need a dedicated GPU for graphic heavy apps. PM me if you want any help installing

  6. Exchange 2010 on 2008R2 .Net version 4.5.50938 It's odd when I look at Windows Update it shows those 3 updates installed 02/01/18 but when I look at installed updates they don't show there!? I didn't have any problems until Tuesday last week so I don't think these updates are the issue? Thanks, Tom
  7. IE on site for http://mail.romanhill-pri.suffolk.sch.uk gives me the same Http/1.1 Service Unavailable that you get!? I have always accessed OWA over HTTPS but have a certificate error. The updates that were installed...

  9. Morning All, I had reports of OWA going down during the half term. It is still down and I have no idea how to troubleshoot it! I have restarted the server, no fix. I can access OWA internally using the server IP but cannot access it using the internal or external URL! Outlook internally is working fine, we don't have any users connected through any other mail client externally. I haven't changed anything on the Exchange server for a long time. Please help and thanks, TomHD

  11. Trials Evolution Gold Edition and Trials Fusion both on PC, both relatively cheap and both have excellent "creator modes"... Players are given the same tools (minus a few special tools) that the devs have to build the in game tracks and mini games. Have a look at this for an idea of what the editor tools can do - If this is of any interest to you I may be able to put you in direct contact with some really amazing Trials builders Also, I know the game is bike focused but you can pretty much make any game within the editor... Some one made COD Zombies -
  12. Litecoin perhaps, Ethereum nah, I just don't like it's inflationary properties although I really like the idea of smart contracts as a whole...
  13. I got some refurbished Lenovo X1 Carbon (Thinkpad type) staff love them and they were less than £400
  14. £50 worth of Bitcoin on a paper wallet with accompanying info sheet
  15. @tm-qas that's unfortunate perhaps you could dual boot using a MacOS version that does allow those modifications just for the exam period? I'm guessing that the machine would not be network connected for the exam and thus negating any security issues you may have about using an older MacOS?
  16. ^ This!!! Is insane and just another example of education/government software being mostly utter sheet!
  17. I have always had trouble with the adhesive giving up over time... Hot glue gun was my solution, holds forever under normal stresses and can be pulled off using a bit more force if needed
  18. Have you tried this Disable spell check in Mac OSX system-wide | Chromescreen @tm-qas ?
  19. I think I have found the issue. Installed Speccy to look at core temps, was 65 degrees on idle! One of the legs on my CPU cooler has snapped and looking at the thermal paste I can see that it was only making a small amount of contact with the CPU! Tried re-seating it, booted up and CPU was at 80 degrees within seconds! I haven't tested a new cooler yet and fingers crossed I haven't caused any lasting damage. Will report back when I've installed new cooler TomHD
  20. I did have a look at task manager and resource manager and didn't see any spikes in usage I have grabbed a PS2 mouse to test when I get home. If its doesn't solve it I will be reinstalling Windows
  21. Afternoon All, Recently I have changed broadband supplier which meant I was cut off for a few days. To fix this short term I installed a WiFi card so I could connect to a BT-Fon hotspot. I now have my broadband back and have removed the WiFi card but now when I load webpages in any browser the mouse freezes or acts erratically. It also seems to occur when I'm downloading over bit torrent! Has anyone experienced this before or know how I would go about troubleshooting this? Many thanks, TomHD
  22. Morning All, I have acquired a 1GB Buffalo external HDD that shows as a RAW file system over USB 3.0 but taking it out of the housing and interfacing via SATA allows me to access the drive with no issue!? I have tried a known to be good cable too. Could it be the SATA to USB 3.0 header that is borked? Thanks, TomHD
