If budget allows it forget projectors for anything other than needing an extremely large image, think halls and performances. -

We used iBoardTouch and have been happy with the hardware and the support they offer, can PM you their sales manager's number if you want? -
The UPS is working fine, is coming up to 5 years old and its had the batteries replaced once. The particular model does allow hot swapping of the battery pack. I think I'm going to get some replacement batteries anyone know a good source? Many thanks, TomHD

Hi All, I have an APC DLA-1500i PSU that is now showing the replace battery warning! I am wondering if I should replace the batteries or replace the entire unit as it is quite old now? Pro and cons to both options? Thanks in advance, TomHD

Prevent Damage to IT Equipment in Classrooms/Suites
TomHD replied to Archipelego1's topic in How do you do....it?
@browolf good point... Wrap the issue up into a "it affects T&L" package and send off to SLT! If your SLT are worth their salt then I'm sure remedies can be discussed and implemented -

This is one of the main reasons I didn't resist academisation... It's nice to have someone at the top with proven management skills rather than, as you say, a class teacher "promoted" to leader of an organistation... I am always very careful between my use of SLT vs SMT! There's a massive difference between leadership and management! -

CCTV with no audio is how I protect my computing suite... However I am the only person who teaches in there and I know what the NUT is like with CCTV in classrooms! I never understood why if you were doing the job to the best of your ability, why you wouldn't want irrefutable proof for when an accusation is made... But that's none of my business! -
Agreed Although its a wonderful bit of kit, in it's current state it won't even come close to replacing a laptop

Feel sorry for me guys! Spent my new PC budget on an iPad Pro 2018 thinking it would replace my aging Macbook Pro based entirely on Apple's Keynote... I should have known better! So here I am still doing most of my work in my cold office on a RM 211! I am planning on Vivera Veggie Steak with roast pots, stuffing, roast sprouts, asparagus and sprouting brocoli with my homemade gravy (250g of vegan butter, 1 tablespoon of Marigold stock powder, 1 teaspoon of marmite, add 500ml of water and then thicken with cornflour) Only cooking for 4 people and will be able to prep most of it the day before which is handy as I don't come back from my holiday until midday on the 24th.

We have had a Kyocera 3051 for 5 years and its been excellent. We are due for a renewal March next year. It has done 55000 pages in the last 90 days and hasn't complained once Papercut works perfectly on it.

Thanks, that wasn't really clear from what I read. I've ordered the Rav File Plus and an external SSD. Thanks for the advice
-
Morning All, I am looking to use an external SSD with my iPad Pro 2018. The iPad has a USB C connector and from what I read will work with any decent SSD. I am happy to buy the Apple USB C to USB dongle so the external SSD does not need to be USB C. I would also like to use the SSD as a build drive for Windows and Mac if possible? Any recommendations? Thanks in advance, Tom

My academy has got back to me and all they want is 1 remote connection to a PC running SIMS, for ease and time to get working, I was thinking a Google Chrome Remote Session would suffice? Any recommendations against this? -
