  1. Signage live here. I must admit that i don't have much interaction with it, other than approving the invoices, but the cost seems reasonable and the tech who uses it says it is alright. My old boss uses Xibo and swears by it.
  2. This, but i am going to say more!.... Unless you're running GCHQ... this seems like a silly idea. I'm seriously questioning your cost analysis (happy to be proven wrong though). However Education + office 365 = free Your comment about internal email being up when the internet is down.. just seems mad! How many internal emails are you sending! Do you not have phones!? Also.. reliability of ISP connections only seems to be improving! Sorry, but i cant help with your question, and call myself a forward thinking profesional. On a more personal note, your forum name "ITGURU" just adds irony to this post! Sorry, but this seems like the sort of stuff that gives us bad names. Its likely whoever proceeds you will then have to just migrate back to office 365.. Certainly the first thing i would do!
  3. Thanks for this! Worked great!
  4. Thanks, I have just checked and they are all in the same groups. Any other ideas?
  5. Also, i'm not sure if its linked, but when i try and change my password using the "Me" section. No matter how complex it always says "This password does not meet the security requirements"
  6. Afternoon everyone I have an issue with my HAP. New staff that started in the recent summer are unable to login, with the error "username or password are incorrect, or you do not have permission to view this page". I have read the forums and i thought it might be the AD username and Password, but this hasn't changed and other members of staff and Students can login fine. Any ideas? Thanks Matt
  7. Hate to be "that guy" but have you tried a different cable? YOu mention socket.. But i once spent a day and a half on-site with a customer that had similar issues and it turned out to be a crushed cable..
  8. People still do this!?
  9. This! I'm looking forward to a new image.
  10. Just to let you know, i placed an order with these guys. Very happy with the sales process. Not pushed and answered all my questions. Pricing was also good. Thanks Matt
  11. I tried KRCS, they left me at the last minute during the summer. So i wasn't impressed.
  12. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/internet-related-filtering-firewall/199456-schools-broadband-netsweeper-transparent-line-beta.html#post1703059 If this helps anyone..
  13. Please keep us updated on how this goes. We too have outgrown spiceworks.
  14. That's great, I'll give them a call today. Want me to drop your name, as a referral?
  15. Does anyone have a recomendation for a managed Macs provider? We have a suite of 21 macs. Want a managed service soloution, i have heard that JAMF is a good provider. If someone could provide a recomendation that would be fantastic. Thanks Matt
  16. If you are reading this, then you might have seen my name in other posts regarding @SchoolsBroadband , i have been pretty open in launching out on the forums here during the lightspeed problems and even when they launched the NetSweeper Proxy soloution. Which im sure, most will agree have been pretty negative. Well i think its only fair i post the positive too! Since the Lightspeed problems, David Tindall (Director) has made contact with me and asked if i would work with @SchoolsBroadband in testing the ALPHA of the new Netsweeper transparent soloution. I had 1 secondary and 5 primary schools all on the Lightspeed soloution, yelling at me to sort it out and when i Beta tested the proxy soloution i was so unimpressed that i actually asked to be put back on Lightspeed! So i agreed to help with the Transparent ALPHA. During the recent summer holiday, i can now say (I was NDA bound!) that i worked closesly with Rob Mason (Product Development Manager) on the Netsweeper Transparent Soloution (ive bagged spot 0001! Will take bids for the number! ha!) and want to give @SchoolsBroadband some recognition in the work on this platform! I was going into the project with serious doubts and frankly a bad mindset... but how wrong i was! The soloution has really been built from the ground up as a perfect replacement for anyone who is currenty on the Lightspeed transparent solouton. So much so that i ended up asking to move all my schools to the ALPHA! (Rob wouldnt let me do them all in one day!). For those of you considering if you should take up the offer for the BETA of the Netsweeper Inline / Transparent Soloution, here are a few questions and answers, which i would of wanted to know before doing the migration: Q: How long will the migration take? A: Bearing in mind i was in the ALPHA (So expected it to take a while), we had our secondary school transfered within 3 hours. The primary school took about 1 hour. (I want to add, that the primary school also have 0 issues upon returning to school after the holiday). Q: How do you deploy the agent? A: Via group policy - I helped make the guide on this. I have had 100% authentication rates so far. Q: How is the logging? A: Logging is viewable live, and can be narrowed down to IP / User / Device. Blocked content is highlighted, and ports also show on the pages. So seeing whats being blocked is now easy and much more efficient Q: Does it support Captive portal for ipads etc? A: Yes! I hope this helps anyone considering taking up the beta offer, i can be a hard customer to please! But really have to commend everyone @SchoolsBroadband on there work on the inline soloution. Anyone wishing to ask me any questions regarding the inline soloution, from an actual customer who has gone through it, please feel free to contact me. Matt
  17. Don't see why I should be forced to be a forum poster to get free delivery.. good marketing, but not for me. I just go elsewhere.
  18. I have specified to all my suppliers that I don't ever want to see a delivery charge on any of my quotes, and I expect them to build it into there prices of the goods. It's just one of them things I hate. That being said.. when it comes to personal stuff, I have got to the checkout of a £1500 computer build and then seen a delivery charge, so I have exited the website and gone elsewhere.. cough...overclockers
  19. The reply from me would be "not a chance"
  20. I have a landline from VM.. as it meant my package was cheaper.. don't own a landline phone however.. I haven't used a landline since I was 4.. Landlines are long overdue there demise..
  21. I got told by the ICO that under no circumstances does being “on holiday” warrant extending the 30 days notice! 🤷♂️ I can see how this is going to go! [emoji23]🤣
  22. I would suggest you email a supplier exactly that.. and make it "a them problem". That is there bread and butter after all. I recommend AMC... [email protected]
