Anyone having speed issues today? I have been getting from 0.5 - 15meg instead of the usual 85-100... 60-120 pings and 10 meg upload... Phoned schools broadband and having a 5-15% packet loss problem apparently! All i can do is laugh... Schools broadband, please just sort it out!

Anyone worked out how much downtime we have had in total? = what % of up time we are being provided!? As nice as the name Carole is.. I'm sick to death of seeing emails from her saying stuff is down! Filter 14 here!

I don't care if it cost the same as repairing Buckingham palace... If you're selling a service.. You need to pay! If it was up to me, you would have a 3rd given the track record!

I hate to revive an old thread.. but just for anyone else hunting the web as to why shortcuts in the start menu dont work, or double programmes folder.. it was the share permissions for me! Students need full control! Then the security permission to stop them messing around!

I also WOULD NOT recommend Schools Broadband.. They are still not stable! Small outages here and there.. or slow speeds. I had my line show as completely dropped on the customer portal yesterday (it hadn't). Phoned up to be told "No idea" which they confirmed in another email to myself since! sigh...

I did my network upgrade this time last year. I went for HP 1950's with 10gb SFP+ on every switch (all POE) and it cost me about £1400 per switch (£1000 for the switch and 3-400 for the modules @ 2 per switch) although I think Brexit has brought this up! [emoji35] As for the VMware or hyperv... I have always used hyper v. Never had any complaints... as for the the comment on managing them on 2 separate interfaces!? I don't folllow! Because you can use failover cluster manager on any machine with RSAT on it, which means you can manage the whole cluster from that one interface!? I'm a keen been, so personally I would go ahead with 2016! Especially for the hyper v!

Tell Carole that... my backup line was down for over 100 days! Asked for service credit and got the "backup lines are not included" speech. When I mention the main line credits... lord Jesus! Good luck! You may joke... but when I'm authorising £10,000+ of yours and mine tax money for this broadband to aid the teaching and learning... it takes the Mick that we are being told a £4000 (or whatever the cost) is causing us downtime!

We have had a few blips. The primary schools I support had full outages. 3 schools that all are checking small prints and waiting for contract expires! My main school has phoned the solicitor and we are waiting for that! [emoji53]

My BT infinity was installed on 30th September.. 18 phone calls, 2 engineer visits later.. It's now being uninstalled on 25th October. Worst service & customer support I have ever dealt with!

15 minutes!?!? We had no internet for about an hour! Also I have an ADSL backup line, that didn't work!?

Anyone else enjoying the filter 14 Woes!? A site with no broadband.. Again!

Wonder if they would let me upload a full backup! Ha!

I have a daily backup... But I am currently on a VPN session doing a nice big manual full backup! Good luck dude!

I think you would be better, looking for a cab that has noise reduction qualities. Rather than a switch that is specifically "Quiet"

I'm sad to say I don't recommend impero to anyone anymore! Unless you want the typical "it will be fixed in the next patch" speech, every time you call! I stupidly bought a 3 year licence!

I'm having this done during the holiday too.. I am not sure if I should put it on its own network or not. What do you guys think? Is it ok on the same lan? Or should I have it on its own VLan/network
