So who is going to use Windows 10 Education on there network?

Do we know what the difference is between the enterprise and edu yet?

Anyone know when ill be able to see Windows 10 in my licencing portal? Ordered a new machine which should arrive tomorrow! Would like to put Windows 10 on it. Matt

Evening all, posted this in the wrong forum originally! Whoops.. But as I understand it veam only backs up virtual machines... So those out there using veam, would be interested to find out how you backup your physical servers? Do you pay for another solution as well as veam?

Iv been putting a few posts out about my new post... In my new position they have an on-site website hosted... Has anyone ever heard of a service where they just come in, and move it externally for me... then i pay some hosting!? Thanks Matt

I have recently been offered a job to be a network manager at another school so will soon be leaving my current post to go there! The new school currently have an on-site hosted lightspeed box, which is currently being used as a proxy... Meaning that I will need to faff around with proxy servers! (Not fun) At my current school, there lightspeed works with no proxy (Hosted lightspeed and firewall by @SchoolsBroadband . So my question is... Can an on-site lightspeed be setup so that it doesn't need a proxy and just absolutely everything goes through that!? Same way as we have it at my current work place!? Even though the lightspeed is internal? Sorry it's a bit unclear, hopefully you get what I mean, and i know what I mean! Thanks for your help in advance! Matt

I Just want to say that this is my current job.. Soon moving to be a network manager! Great school! All in the office are fantastic! Nice budgets to work with and server infrastructure is now great! (Thanks to me ofcourse! ) Oh and did i mention they are getting a new office as I leave! Nice big & fresh paint & Carpet! Good luck whoever gets the role!

Someone has recommended not creating a new domain and actually new OU's and GPO's... Seems like I may need to do that. However what about maybe creating a trust between the domains and then moving the users over? Matt

Hi all, I have posted this question on another thread, but thought i should make a new one as well! I have just got a new job as a network manager at a school that currently has an RM network... They desperately want to get away from RM (Strangely whats tempted me to the job!) so I have been asked to get it done... I have had 2 induction days and they are currently on CC4.. Which is using Office 365 for the emails... Great stuff! However it all synced up into the RM unify stuff! including there own RM Sync tool (Guessing its a rebranded Dir sync) Anyway my plan to migrate away from RM was to build a separate domain along side the current RM network, get everything ready and then start moving people over... but how do i go about moving over the office 365 stuff... even if i kept the RM sync tool i would need to move it over to the new domain.. how do i do that!? Has anyone ever had any experience of this? They want to keep the RM unify VLE... although it doesn't seem very VLE like... Just a page with links to different places! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Matt
