Morning, I am trying to set-up a new server with 2012R2 & system centre DPM on it. Now i know DPM needs SQL so my question is... I have already purchased a copy of system centre licence. Does that allow me SQL instance as well? Or do i need to buy a new licence for that? Matthew

Our problem is that the kids only just slightly pull out the cables so they still look like the cables are plugged in... But arn't. There relentless! Matthew

Well I thought of that. We currently have RM's (Vanilla system, but RM machines) which are all locked in and cables can't be accessed. If there is anything like that then we will be happy.

How do you people lock down your machines to keep them safe from kids tampering?

Afternoon, I have recently started a new post at a school and I am having some trouble. Currently all staff have local administrator on there laptops so they can install whatever. So I have created a new group policy to resolve this. I have done the following; Computer configuration - preferences - control panel settings - Local users and groups I have then got 3 actions in there in the following order 1. Action: Update - Delete all member users (Ticked) - Members: DOMAINNAME\Domain Admins, BUILTIN\Administrator, BUILTIN\ISD 2. Action: Update - Administrator password 3. Action: Update - ISD password Action 2 & 3 are applying and working fine. However action 1 no matter what I seem to do doesn't work. All I need is every member of the local administrators group to be deleted which it is already doing. And to then re-add Domain admins, local administrator & the local ISD account. However it just isn't adding. Any help would be great if you could help.

early morning all, So here is a weird one... I have certain users (domain'd laptops) coming up with the "please enter username" credentials from smoothwall. This is using IE10, however this isn't something that every user is experiencing, this is something that only certain users are getting. (Can't find any link between the users). I realise this is a bit of a shot in the dark, but its 12:30 and im tired. However wanted to put this mission to the web and see what thoughts I could get for the morning. Thanks & night folks.

Ever found a fix for this? I am getting this with IE 10...

Morning everyone, I have arround 90 thinclients on side (HP - T510's) all currently using a HP windows embedded image. (From the website). I want to configure Windows Thin PC to work on these thin clients. I have installed Windows Thin PC, and it automatically installs all the necessary drivers it needs, excluding the LAN driver! What a pain in the A** it is being! I have done the following; Searched the HP Website Extensively searched the web Called HP Imaged another thin client, grabbed the driver files (Of which there was very little of!) to then image with thin pc and it tell me it is in-compatiable. Now is it just me... Why am I being forced to use HP's Image. Anyone else got this model and knows where to get this driver? Any help would be greatly appreciated.! Thanks Matthew

Afternoon All, I have an issue here effecting all users, When a page is being blocked / blacklisted by smoothwall, and the studunts try to get to the page, it comes up with internet explorer cant connect to the internet instead of the smoothwall block page. Wondered if anyone had any insights on this issue? I have schedualed a smoothwall re-boot for 4:00pm, to see if that helps, but thaught I would throw a line before hand. Thanks in advance Matthew
