Well got an official response. Apparently No HTTPS sites can have the block page anymore!.... Now to look at going to smoothwall! Such faff! On the plus side... They have finally fixed all the existing issues. Seems weird how they can now still be viable... If a page is blocked I want a block page... How can an filtering solution still be viable if there is no block page anymore! Anyway thanks for the replies all. Matt

And any news on when my issues are actually going to be sorted? Carol said she would call me back before 4? Still no block page showing on blocked HTTPS sites... and in fact been told its now impossible to do it! Something you might want to put on future sales... "We will block the sites, but there will be no block page & your users will now phone you saying the internet is down!" When its not... Its just you cant put the block page now. Not good.

Were still having issues from the update & now Iv got 4 primary schools on your ADSL phoning me! Bah Its a bad week for you guys!

Where is the facepalm emote when you need it.... The office 365 download is for there home use. Not school!

Had a chat with the managing director today! Always nice! Answered a few of my questions and promised to follow them up for me! So there not all bad over there! Lets see what I get back from the update!

**UPDATE** Day 9 and we are STILL having issues since this update. Only just got Youtube to start filtering back to the educational version again! So at least that is now sorted. However we have found kids have found a games hosted on a Google sub domain. Only way to block is some weird method (No idea what he said) which would basically mean blocking some youtube videos as well! Also blocked HTTPS sites now come back as "cannot display this page" rather than the Lightspeed block page! All in all not impressed & currently researching alternatives. Matt

Yeah in the meantime students are roaming free on youtube & other https sites...

Evening all, Ok so I have completed my move to Office 365 for all my users. Im happy with it to be honest and its so nice to not have to worry about the exchange server. However I do have a question, WHAT THE FLIP IS UP WITH HAVING TO USE ADSI EDIT!! Seriously? Why can't i be able to edit mailboxes online in Office 365 portal? Anyway ranting aside... Does anyone know any Office365 management tools? / or a tool to help with ADSI edits? Also does anyone know of any plans Microsoft might have to allow editing exchange properties with dir sync?

Well day 3 is over and there are still problems.. Turns out HTTPS sites are not being filtered now.. :-(

Indeed! Terrible service I can't believe this wasn't tested properly! Got an email about an hour ago saying it's fixed... I'll see how the morning progresses! The worst part is... When I phones this morning there tech support didn't know there was an issue and even asked me to restart my main DC! Need to start looking for other providers I thinks! Very un-happy day today! Iv sent in a complaint let's see what happens from that. They haven't even acknowledged my complaint.

Oh it also stops your servers IP specific filtering.. Day just gets better!

Anyone with Schools broadband here? With Lightspeed. Had the web filtering update done? Screwed over all your filtering? Everyone is getting student level filtering! (Basically default level) Absolutely hectic for the first day back! Not happy!
