i can't say my experience with Mesh was good, the laptop which I bought, which was high spec back in 2005. Just kept breaking (Paint came off after hardly any use, kept blue screening even after rebuilds, touch pads buttons kept snapping, fan very noisy and always on) and kept being sent back, after the warranty expired I moved to a Dell laptop. Maybe I just bought a bad one?, because I did hear good things about them.

i was recently promoted, we both have different areas of expertise, I’ve always taken it as were both equal now.

Hi all I have 4 windows 7 laptop images which are all the same but have different drivers. We use Symantec ghost, but what I want to do is to have 1 image then have all the different drivers on that image. So after the laptop is imaged then after it starts up it does a unattended.xml to set up the drivers. But I’m stuck how do I use an answer sheet to install the correct drivers for the correct machines. I’ve looked all over the net there seems to be a few ways of doing it, but I can’t get any to work. I’ve not tried many but I normal use virtual box for work on windows, never tried it on mac. But have just bought VMware Fusion 3 for my Macbook at home and am quite happy with it and a few of my friends who have mac’s use it. Runs quite well on my Macbook 4GB Ram, 2GHz processor

I got booted from an Gears of war 3 beta or Gears of war 2 (can't remember which) game last weekend, just because I went from the bottom of the leader board to the top in 1 round and to top it off they gave me an "unsporting" 100% review on my game card/profile.

We did use start menu redirection but it lead to more problems than it solved. So we just use “all users” start menu (windows XP) and wherever windows 7 puts it now and just structure it in subject departments. Any software which points to severs runs off the intranet. We structure it to make it easier on the kids to find programs also it use to take forever to bring up the start menu when the people before my time here just left shortcuts where the programs installed them.

i give up lol, i just built 3 images friday and ghosted 4 rooms today. The wsus should pick them up and push them out.

Now after taking the whole thing apart in my lunch time, with help from my manager. it’s all back together but the screen just comes up white? Is it worth repairing this? or just tell them to go buy a better laptop. Going to take it apart at home to see if I’ve mistake(99.9% sure I haven’t). I guess it could be the video ribbon has broken in a place. Because they did buy it as a refurbished model. And the cable bend through some tight corners.

Has anyone has any experience of replacing an advent Verona SU laptop screen? I’ve been asked by a friend to look one of their friends they have the screen. I’ve replaced screens before, but this looks like a pain. PC world told her they want £100 to do it. I’m sure I can do it. But looks like it needs all taking apart. Anyone know where I can get a technical diagram?

There the PDF versions which use to come with the paper copy of the books just use ibook to sync them over. havn't bought some in ages so don't know if microsoft still give the the CD with them on.

I did give in and bought one a while back, mainly use it for E-Books for my degree and all my Microsoft manuals just saves me carrying around a load of books, websites, dropbox the new iplayer app is nice too. I also worry where to leave it, at £499 for the 32Gb one it’s not something you want to go missing. I also find it collects a lot of finger marks

I’m running windows 7 pro on a HP 2140netbook 1.60GHz N270, 2GB ram works fine for me, I use office, music , Videos, even virtual box with Linux on( which starts to push it to its limits.)

Has anyone come across this before? If so is it any good? it looks like u can slipstream a SP1 file, as well as other tweaks.

looks like the first one is a bug just found this "Bad news for those who picked up Test Drive Unlimited 2 this week: the game is apparently falling apart, thanks to a few game-breaking bugs across various systems, including "permanent loading screen" problems and issues where the game's save file will get corrupted or not load. A number of network-reliant game components have been taken offline already, and the official Twitter account says the Eden Games team is working as fast as it can to sort things out. Programmers have been pulled in from other projects with the dev promising that "no one is going home until we get this working." thats just what happened to mine. Anyone having issues with test drive unlimited 2? I keep finding when I load my profile it just sits there and never loads, but I think this is an issue when Xbox live is being slow because if I disconnect from the net its loads straight away. Also after a multi player session the screen freezes or just goes black. or i keep falling through the road in to the water in a endless loop

Looks like it’s a bug, maybe with SP1 around the corner that will probably fix it. I know Microsoft did put a bit of effort in to changing how the shut down worked because they wanted it. so if a user wanted to shut down, then the user wanted to shut down not wait for a 3rd party software do whatever it was doing.

Well they all do it randomly staff laptops and student Machines, also when I built the images the first thing I do is wipe the drive and reinstall windows, so it’s just windows 7 install, and none of the dell management rubbish.
