I thought this was going to happen (end of life for ghost) as I've read a post some on Symantec website a while ago saying the developers had been disbanded from the project. the best feature I found of ghost was auto ghost one button click and a remove was refreshed and renamed back to how they were. just hope Microsoft can add that feature to Windows Deployment Services.

I've got one of these falcons they do nothing except give the birds another place to sit. my neighbour keeps feeding birds, I expect a comment one day about wasting water by having to keep washing my car.

have you tried the fix in http://www.edugeek.net/forums/enterprise-software/107666-microsoft-uag-2010-windows-8-support-2.html#post936111 As we use UAG with Windows 8 I released IE 10 for windows 7 a last day of term on the WSUS(got my dates of when term ended mixed up), only problem we have come acrossed is something to do with downloading files they fail to download properly. i have the details at work i'l post them when i get in tomorrow.

Thanks it's give it a try. My current set up is to create a new admin and add to local admins. Microsoft solutions it you have to have autologin set for it to work which is useless for most people. because if I understand correctly would let the admin account just login at boot up. I would thought it would be easy for Microsoft just to add a setting which says enable in the same area where you can see the administrator password.

Same here, I did look at a Audi but they don't have heat front windows. So picked the ford focus

I've looked at this before and have set a new local administrator in the unattend.xml but is it possible to re-enable the default administrator and and set its password in the unattend.xml. if so what settings do I need to turn on?

Is there any Gears of war judgement players on Edugeek is so what do you think to it? I think its different in a good way. but I hate the fact that if you play co-op say hardcore mode and a someone on casual mode joins the game. The stars your playing for change from gold to bronze. basically the stars you play for is determined by the player on the easiest mode. which in some ways I think is not very good as when you select hardcore you want to play hardcore mode with other players at that level.

I just passed a car going to work to see a driver with snow all over his front window screen with only a 20 by 10 cm gap made to look out of. looked like a giant snow ball was coming at me.

i was about to say am i missing something because I've only ever used 2012 and just a case of right click add driver and point to the folder containing all the new driver you want to import.. very handy when dell now do driver CAB files. even then i don't think it injects the drivers i think when it installs it just looks up the driver database to collect the ones which match the hardware IDs.

have you created a new unattend.xml for windows 8? or just using the windows 8 Enterprise to install without one. also did you install the windows 8 boot image. i don't know if it makes a difference but I set ours up with a windows 7 boot and windows 8 boot images. but I haven't come across that error, I've recently set up our WDS server to deploy windows 8 and maybe 7, but ours is server 2012

from Easter Windows Deployment services built on a 2012 server. As ghost by symantec doesn't fully support windows 8 yet. got to say I'm impressed with WDS to now have 1 image for all laptops 1 image for all PC's. when a new model comes in just add the new drivers and your done. where before with ghost I could never get it work with different hardware model. so had to have separate images.

I use to like playing SIM city on SNES also have it on iPad, but will have to wait for the mac version to come out.

I have a wds set up and can image just by selecting a image and it renames and everything automatically but what settings do I need for a UK keyboard and UK settings I've tried en-UK, en-GB. in the x86_Microsoft-Windows-International-Core__neutral in oobe. but not mater what combination i put in i just get en-US. i don't think my manager would go for we need to buy all US keyboards.

The problem only appears to affect IE. It seems to be the way UAG checks the IE version number. Hi i have image machines ready, check. i have had it agreed by powers above me to roll out windows 8, check. i have a target date during Easter hols, check. what I don't have is a way to deploy fast. we use ghost and up till now its been great I can pull a image and send it out by console and all the PC's ghost and rename and job done. each PC gets it same name back e.g room1-01 get renamed back to room1-01. but ghost doesn't seen to have been updated since windows 7 came out and doesn't look like it will for some time and only supports manual ghost for windows 8. e.g boot USB then rename manually. So what alternatives do people know of that work with windows 8 without losing what ghost can do at the moment and without a load of hassle to image rooms. Thank you Andy

we have 7 staff laptops running it, 5 touch screens and a class room on dual boot with all with office 2013, but the smart board drivers are a bit funny with windows 8 and Symantec ghost doesn't fully support it console side, can do them manually but it takes a bit of time, which is stopping a possible full roll out to class rooms.

we have a different model, but when we install it, we have to go in to device manager and update/install the driver again even after it installs from the CD

I liked Fringe it was a good show, I started watching midway though season 2 so hope sky or another channel start showing it from the start again, else I'll have to buy it on DVD. also liked A Town Called Eureka till the sci-fi channel cancelled it due to it being to expensive to film. i want another Stargate series, I liked Stargate sg-1 and Atlantis. but the Stargate universe only started to get good in season 2 then they cancelled it.
