It works, changed the boot to smsboot\x86\wdsnbp.com and the deployed task to only media and PXE, So is it possible to move images from WDS to SCCM, without rebuilding?

i've got a task for a collection with just 1 PC in Hyper V i had the client software, i'm trying to do a build and capture task. if i log in to the PC and look at System center client i can see the task.

I need help, soon be mental help if I don’t soon get this working. I’ve been setting up a SCCM 2012 SP1 server I’ve got a boot image distributed; I’ve set up dhcp 66 to the IP address of the server and 67 to smsboot\x86pxeboot.com But when I boot the PC to PXE boot I get a blue screen of death. But what I don’t get is how PXE boot works let me explain 1.Boot PC to pxe 2.goes to dhcp 3.gets server and bootpath loads boot file. But what if I have 2 boot files such as windows 8 and windows 7? Please help this is week 3 of setting up sccm 2012 sp1 and its starting to my head in. I’ve followed a book and youtube videos and tutorials and still it won’t work.

is there anyway of find out what the code was without having to turn the old server back on? but i don't mind using a new one but i don't know the old one. i think the old one was as far as installed and that was it.

its turned off at the moment, the plan was to start a fresh with the 2012 one. do you know of anythink i need to clean up to remove the old one? i also don't know how much the old one was used. i only started in this place 4 weeks ago. do i need to remove the permissons for the old one in AD in the system managent folder. also the old one was just a primary server and the new one is going to be the same.

Hi all, I’m installing SCCM 2012 sp1 as a standalone and got to the point where i need to put a site code and name in, we had before i started sccm 2007 also stand alone but yesterday i uninstalled and decommissioned the server forgetting to note the name used, is it ok to use the same site code and name as previous install on a different server? I don’t know if I am using a different name/code or not. Also the installer says “The site code must be unique in the configuration manager hierarchy and cannot be changed after install.” But I’m not installing in to a hierarchy I am doing standalone. i'm leaning towards i'm ok to use the same name and code Thank you Andrew

Hi i have a Apple Magic mouse but its always losing Connection if i got to Bluetooth to and connect it connects straight away and reports the battery as 84%. when it connects it can last between a minute and 5 minutes, its over a year old so i can't sent it back. when it works its great. anyone else got this problem. if i remember correctly we used admin rights CMD netsh -> winhttp -> Set Proxy 123.456.7.8:91:01 but using your proxy then restart the computer (you must restart for the settings to apply) netsh -> winhttp -> reset proxy restores it back to no proxy. also if you use windows update services you need to add that as a exception else the computer will not pick up updates from the server.

Hi, I've managed to get expo installed on a 2008R2 server it takes a bit of messing around in the registry and you have to install the Microsoft database software from command line and then in iis change the application pool from default to 1.1 haven't tested the software but the HMC console loads up. still in the process of getting it working/testing so will post the results and full method of how to do it. as I'm currently testing on VM server ready for the migration in the summer.

I had to reset my at X-mas don't they send you a support number which pops up on every device registered with your apple ID.

I just ran the setup.exe /x:site /q and It picked up the licence which already installed and registered itself.

Do you know if this works on version 11? because I can't seem to be able to pass the key?

Recently we moved from ghost to WDS so we have to use sysprep now. however we have a site licence for Sony Vegas Movie Studio. so install it on the image but now it seems that sysprep is changing the machine ID so Vegas think it needs to be re-registered however it changes to a consumer registration so the licence code does not work. anyone else had this problem? I don't fancy having to go and install install this X amount of times.
