  1. I don't know about Fog, I use Symantec ghost. But windows 7, well any windows oem from dell the oem licences activate using the bios they need something called a slic 2.1 and some files which are stored on windows 7 install, don’t worry it is already in the bios. So also long as the sysprep doesn’t mess up the file. It shouldn’t need to be activated or have the key entered back in. The link below explains a bit more about oem activation How to Check or Verify PC Motherboard BIOS SLIC Version is SLP OA 2.0 or 2.1 for OEM Activation « My Digital Life also to add I’ve use to sysprep on windows 7, but found it had no gain setting the wall paper can be done by just gpo and not just by syspreping, I do what by the sounds you do no GPOs added to the image, an image name, the rename add to domain and I’ve never had any issues
  2. Is it magnetic? A paper clip holder? And I would take it the rubber bit is so it doesn’t get all scratched up
  3. I got 2 of the emails from them, just deleted them both.
  4. Think I will be off to GAME Saturday morning I have some money on a card from trade-ins and a load of points on my reward card. I’ve not been happy with game for a long while. What happened to the “be the first to play” stuff I recently pre-ordered got to me a week later. But this one did it for me I pre-ordered a game I got told by email it was not going to be available and so my pre-order was cancelled. Week later money had been taken from my bank account and a game turned up 2 days later. Customer support didn’t see what the problem was.
  5. As far as I'm aware some primaries are using RM integris g2
  6. we use 0.5cm plastic with some really good plastic glue from DT. we have never had one pulled off or snapped. just to add we also glue on to the outside of the machine to stop them having anything to push against.
  7. IE can be really funny sometimes, I’ve built images before exactly the same and one IE is fine the other one crashed, which is when i also came across was this: Run Internet Explorer as an Administrator and unchecking the Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > “Enable memory protection to help mitigate online attacks” option.
  8. do you have Java installed? I had this issue a little while ago. it was the java plug-in.

    PS Vita

I bought one and Uncharted: Golden Abyss is quite good. But also got Ridge Racer Vita which doesn't work very well for me, you go online to a lobby and it kicks you out or times out. I downloaded a copy of rayman which has entertained me for a bit. The console is great but I want some more games. I know I can download from the PSN store but each games eats around 1 gig of space and I only bought a 8gb card.
  10. I remember the story about the old lady that cut of the internet in Georgia, wasn't she looking for scrap metal. But to be fair to the lady wasn't the cable can’t have been buried very deep by the sound of it. Found the story here Georgian OAP Crashes Country's Web By Slicing Through Fibre-Optic Cable | Strange News | Sky News
  11. To be honest I ended up buying a Linux+ book and working to that as the module can be used as a preparation for the linux+ exam. So I thought might as well learn it the exam way. Then just did the final assignment. I already use Linux and it was only used to fill a gap in my studies between main modules. But very good for anyone with no knowledge of Linux. Would be nice if the OU offered a medium or advanced one. Still waiting for my results for the module.
  12. I’m studying with the OU, Half way through my Open degree, I’ve done 2 level ones, 2 level twos and currently doing 2 level threes. 13. We had 124 of these; I couldn’t get them to ghost. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/o-s-deployment/30136-creating-cds-ghost-image.html Had to build each one manually. A lot of my time was spent on the up keep of theses.
  14. That is kool and very nice of them.
  15. Well i've found the cause of the problem Safari. If i run safari anytime before or during running fusion the system runs out of memory.
  16. Well over X-mas I rebuilt the MacBook and it seems to make the issue worse. There are loads of memory issues on the VMware forum site but none seem to match up with my issue. Hopes there’s a 4.2 update for fusion soon to fix this.
  17. i did read on the engadget website that they were replacing with new ones (well latest gen ones) Apple reportedly swapping recalled iPod nanos for 6G counterparts; you have yours? -- Engadget
  18. we are getting 'Authorization error' but mobile youtube works or just try this link YouTube - Broadcast Yourself
  19. AOL Email is funny. i use to get spam from myself when i was with AOL. when i went to change my password i had to install there software (it was the only way to change the password) so i moved to sky.
  20. I had 3 mobile broadband 12 months for 12Gb pay as you go, it was great did everything I wanted it too. Even updated my old iPhone which was a 500 to 700mb file only using the mobile broadband.
  21. Just been back to the IT Room and ran the assessment one on all machines and it did the update and it logged in and it all appeared to work fine. Going to keep testing it later in the day. But we do have a very good internet connection
  22. Hi, I’ve just been to one of the IT rooms tried to launch the assessment one and I just get the start bar disappear and nothing else happens, normally a updater starts.
  23. Fusion is uptodate even the update which fixes the issue where it doesn’t check for an apple licence when doing a Mac OSX VM Might be a x-mas job to rebuild my mac
  24. Hi I have a problem with my MacBook pro (Feb 2011 model), it has 8GB Ram and before Lion and Fusion 4 I ran snow leopard and fusion 3 and had it set for 4GB of ram for a 64bit window 7 VM and everything was happy. Now I start my machine up run fusion and by the end of the night all my ram is gone. I’ve now set the VM to 2 GB ram and fusion is still using it all. It’s using over 5 GB of free ram; I think it’s some kind of memory leak because you can watch it go down. I have thought about reinstalling Lion from DVD, because I did it from upgrade. Anyone else have this problem?
  25. I was told the updates were going to be last Monday and we did have a few problems last Monday but a restart on the machines sorted them. I also find logging in as an admin and running the software to do updates normally fixes most issues. We also use an ecdl account which has higher privileges than a normal student account. But we have no more ecdl lessons before end of term, but if I see the ecdl teacher I’ll ask her if we can test it and I’ll try to get back to you as soon as possible.
