1. Hmm, this seems to have enabled ALL settings for me to click through?
2. Yeah - exactly! Just configured now, testing it in 30 seconds, I'll tell you the outcome.
3. Sounds like a really stupid question, but where do I locate the rules.ini and bootstrap.ini files?
4. Thanks! So if I want to manually enter the computer name, I can leave this script and that section to SKIP=NO?
5. Ah - excellent. I will give this a shot later on today! Thank you very much for this!!
6. Hello, Anyone have any tips for speeding up MDT? Currently it all works fine, however the only things I want to speed up are mainly the initial setup. So, instead of me having to select the task sequence, it automatically picks it. I don't want to have to type in the domain, it should automatically do it for me? Just so I can skip these tedious steps! All I want to have to do is type in the credentials for connecting to network shares (if this is compulsory) Then enter the name for the machine and then select the software to install! Any ideas on how to make it THIS easy? Thanks!
7. Yeah - it seems that way. It is nice customisation, just not sure which version of moodle it is?!
8. Is this Moodle? It has traces of moodle in the source code? If so - what version etc. please! (Furness College VLE)
9. I'll take a look at this - the netcopy one seems most useful, however it's not working at the moment, I'll look into it. Thanks!
10. Okay, so for example, the Serif applications. If I run \\server\softwarelocation\movieplus\setup.exe /adminfile Will that then save those setup properties in the same folder? Or is it not quite that simple?
11. Hmmm, is there no easy way within MDT like how you would add the serial options for Office?
12. Hello, So I've setup and configured WDS and MDT. I'm wanting to know a couple of things now; 1) Is there a way of auto-inserting the serial number for products (such as Serif which doesn't pick up from KMS) 2) Is there a way of automatically installing software without having to manually run through the .exe setups stage by stage? Also, has anyone got any useful tips/tricks for MDT? Like injecting Windows Updates for example; upon trying this, the installer failed! Thanks! :-)
13. Hello, It seems that there isn't such an option? Sorry, do you have an email address? It might be a bit easier - that's if you're happier to help!
14. I'm still slightly confused, is this in WDS I do this?
15. Might sound like a silly question, boot how do I go about generating the boot image within MDT? It created the .XML file?
16. I've configured this, how do I ensure it will run when booting from PXE?
17. Hello, do I install this on the same server as WDS? Also, does the 2013 toolkit run on 2008R2?
18. Hello, So I'm setting up WDS, it's all configured etc. however I wish to create ONE image for lots of different machines. Well, two; Pupil and Staff. I want it to domain, ask what to name it and then run the image! Is there any way of doing this using WDS? If so, please can someone help me with it! Thanks.
19. Is it pricey? Obviously it's USD but is it a lot?
20. Does LanSchool work well from a technician's perspective? Can it deploy MSI's etc. etc. etc. We have AB Tutor, but I hate it!
21. Just a shame they're all terrible!
22. Hello, I'm working in a secondary school and we have been trialing Impero. I am a massive fan, however the price is not appealing to the SLT staff. Can anyone suggest anything as good for a lower price? Currently we have ABTutor, but this is terrible in my opinion! Thanks! :-)
23. Hello, thanks for this - we have looked at the registry and the key is created. We even tried setting the path to a local C:\ location, however it STILL does not work!
24. Hello, I'm currently trying to deploy a wallpaper however when the users log in, the background is black. Upon checking the personalisation settings (please note the clients are using Windows 7) the deployed wallpaper can be seen in the small preview section. The network path is accessible by all users in the domain so I cannot see an issue! I do also have 'do not allow changes to desktop wallpaper' set for the users. On top of this, I have a deployed theme; however I temporarily removed this yet it had no impact. Speaking of the theme, some machines do not adjust to Aero upon the deploying of that also! Group Policy's regarding personalisation seem to be a big 'no-no' with our server for some reason. If anyone has any ideas why this could be happening, please do not hesitate to comment below! If you'd prefer to speak with me via my work email and potentially a phone call, let me know if this is easier! (Please note, I cannot successfully test any replies until Monday)
