Exactly! They make you go around the houses to do the simplest of things... I'll look into this now. Thanks!

Works!! You don't know how to adjust the name do you? Where it currently says 'IT Organization' then 'Running: Lite Touch Installation' I want 'IT Organization' to say the company name? Thanks!

I feel I've done this, it does then install the program, but it still requires user input? I would like for it to be automated
-
Nope - still didn't work! :/

Trivial question but how do I change the wallpaper in MDT? It currently is the 'Microsoft Solution Accelerators' one, and I made some adjustments (shown below) but it doesn't change anything? I may be completely wrong and this may be the wrong way to configure this anyway!
-
Okay, I've added it to my script (along with Framework) and I'll see how that goes! I feel I've configured MDT in a bad way, but I'm not sure, probably would need a good looking at to diagnose the problems!!
-
Okay, so I run a script afterwards to do silent software (MSI) but I could add this .exe for silverlight to the batch script and it has silent switches?
-
I may have done this wrong, I did this and set the 'SkipApplications' to YES. All this did was skip the step in the image options and didn't install any software...
-
Unfortunately we do not quota this disk (as much as I'd like to).
-
OHHH! I see, so I set SkiApplications=YES and it will just install them automagically?
-
But I DO want it to install the software, just automatically...

Hello all, I currently have WDS/MDT set up and software such as silverlight, framework, office and SP1 are all installers on the MDT. The problem is, I'm having to 'next' my way through these and I'd prefer to just leave them and walk away, come back and they're done! Any ideas how I can make these more automated? I have a script that I manually run afterwards also that installs all msi's, printers and adjusts some system settings. This is fully automated.

I had a look at the PowerShell stuff, looks all a bit too confusing!

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone knows a way to hide the amount of space left on a shared drive? We have a Shared Area and we want to remove the space free and the red/blue bar so that people don't know the space left on that drive! We do however want to leave that bar on other mapped drives (their home drive etc.)
-
Unfortunately not freeware though
-
Just two at the start, a staff username and a department These then are referenced to map drives and add printers dependent on location.
-
Is it sensible to do this in Visual Studio or? I'm not too familiar with VB :-/

Hello, I have written a long batch script to automatically install software, and it has a few input forms at the start. I was wondering if there was an easy way of making this a nice installation wizard? More user friendly and not within the command prompt box. But still as fully automated as the command prompt. Any ideas? Thanks!

Any chance you could link it? Sorry, can't find it! :-)
-
Anyone else got any other methods? (bump)
-
Without sounding an idiot, can you give me a quick description of how this works? :-)

Just had a look over that Home Access Plus, looks okay but I know they won't be happy having to go online to be able to access their documents. They don't enjoy a 'change from the norm' that's the issue!
-
(delayed response) What would happen if I did this? Would anything attached to that user (downloads etc.) be lost? Also, might I add, there are a LOT of accounts like this, so I can't actually know which are problematic and which aren't :/

Hello, I am wondering how everybody else allows Staff access from home? Currently we use a VPN system using Forti-Client, however in the past have used Robocopy etc. The problem with Robocopy was, people would close the CMD prompt window, or it would take waaaay too long to run? The problem with the VPN is, showing people how to do it, relying on them doing it and it's such an effort to do to have to work from home! Any other methods other people are using? Cheers!
