Hi all We are trying to use the InVentry Anywhere app and are getting mixed results. It doesn't seem to like connecting via our WiFi at all but through 4G we can log in, the app will correctly sync with the InVentry anywhere server, and will pull down who is currently signed in, your correct sign-in status etc. but when we try and sign-in/out via the app it says it has done so but seemingly fails to push that info back to the main console. We have opened the ports they requested on our firewall and have whitelisted the domains they asked for but the issue remians Has anyone else successfully got this to work and what did you need to do if so please? Cheers

Hi everyone. In an attempt to expand my networking knowledge, I'm currently trying to setup a Windows 2003 network virtually, with one server and two XP Pro clients. I've installed Windows Server 2003 Standard and setup Active Directory and DNS. However I can't join the clients to the server, i've tried changing IP addresses, and making sure the virtual machine has the networking set (i.e. bridged/local). I'm not entirely sure what I need. All I want is a functioning server, which clients can join and I can administer my own domain, trying out different bits and bobs etc. Any help would much be appreciated.

Good morning everybody! Over the Easter holidays, I'm going to swap over to some new wonderfully fast Admin servers. The Deputy Head has asked can I migrate the school from Nova T4 to Nova T6 at the same time Now, this is where the fun begins... Does anyone have a guide on how to do this? We don't have SIMS.net as here in Pembrokeshire the LA decided Integris G2 was better (read cheaper) so I think I'm right in saying that I need T4 to do cover etc. Ideally I’d like to have a fresh install of both on the server so that its clan and tidy, more importantly, I can document where everything is! Currently, anyone who needs access to the T4 software has it installed on their PC and its pointed to the data on the server. Ideally I'd like to do this with T6 too so that the data is all in one place and that my standard Admin PC image will have Nova T4, T6 on it pointing to one place also. So basically, any help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Ross

Hi all, Wondering if you could lend me a hand with this. Basically I am trying to setup O365 for our school, but after creating an admin account etc, I cannot seem to do anything else. I cannot get to email setup or file storage etc. From the various things I have seen online (Help videos) the user should have options in the top right of the screen to allow for access to email, people, onedrive etc. We have none of that. Now I will say that my boss has been doing some of the setup but I have no idea how far along he got. Have we missed some setup stages? Or is there something a bit trickier happening here? Any help would be very very helpful. Thanks!

Has anyone setup VLANs on 3Com 4400 series switches (3C17203) or 4900 SX optical switches (3C17702)? What is the precise order of instructions to create VLANs and assign them to ports? Do you start at the far end of the network and work back, or start in the centre and work out? All my attempts seem to add a VLAN2 seem to cut access on the admin VLAN1, and I have to reset the switch by logging on locally to it or by using the console port. Any help is appreciated.

Does anyone have a working set of smoothwall /Guardian settings that hits that happy spot as far as filtering goes without too many false positives? We've evaluating it but when we went live for a trial it was blocking far too much. I just wondered if anyone had a set of settings that would give us a kick start in the right direction Thanks ChrisJ

Hello, Anyone have any tips for speeding up MDT? Currently it all works fine, however the only things I want to speed up are mainly the initial setup. So, instead of me having to select the task sequence, it automatically picks it. I don't want to have to type in the domain, it should automatically do it for me? Just so I can skip these tedious steps! All I want to have to do is type in the credentials for connecting to network shares (if this is compulsory) Then enter the name for the machine and then select the software to install! Any ideas on how to make it THIS easy? Thanks!
