True - I loved Mercenary Kings and Dead Nation, plus I liked them putting out Crysis3 on the 3 a while back, and let's face it £40 a year for 24 indie games? 'tis actually quite a good deal (even more if like me you have a 4, 3 and Vita.)

I've ummmed and ahhhed about Injustice for quite a while thinking 'Do I get it?'. Not a problem now. Also Infamous: First Light - haven't got around to getting it yet, but I've wanted it since it was announced. Guess I'll wait until next year now. Time to go and glare at Evil Within, Natural Doctrine and Shadow of Mordor then...

Didn't see any issues myself - but as the 2.01 update is there, I'll move to that. No AAA games on PSN this month either, but they've used the PSN blog to apologise for the delay on Driveclub (which, apparently we are still getting) and state that we'll be getting Injustice: Gods Among Us - Ultimate Edition in December and Infamous: First Light in January. Finally - something decent! They've not said anything about PS3/Vita yet.

I think it's on some kind of eternal re-run on Gold now...

@X-13 Okay - foul on my part. I think DLC is the natural progression of expansion packs (from the old PC days), and its so prolific because it's so easy to shunt out. I remember buying the expansion to Diablo 2 to name just one. (Although that did add two classes and a shed load of new content)

To be honest - I don't generally have too much a problem with DLC, unless it's silly 'day one' stuff... Someone said earlier that it's a way of developers getting a bite of the preowned market, and let's face it - the preowned market is huuuuuge. Most DLC I see as completely pointless to me, hence costumes / vanity packs, shortcut packs and the like. I see the point of them, for people who want that particular look, or who want extra in-game money, or even early unlocks of weapons. I prefer to earn my in-game loot, but that's up to me. Yes, people have got the same by throwing money at it - but it's their money at the end of the day. Extra content / missions? Yes, I like this in general. If I like a game enough to play it all the way through and get everything, then I like the option of being able to play a little more - as long as it's appropriately priced. I don't lose anything in most games for not owning the DLC. For example - Borderlands 2, I didn't buy the extra characters, or any of the mission packs as I wasn't interested enough to, until I saw Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep. I'm a roleplayer, so it appealed to me. I held off until it was on sale though and I got it for a pittance. Mass Effect's DLC? Yes, I bought big chunks of it as I enjoyed the series so much. I get an iteration of Battlefield every couple of increments, but I'm not usually bothered about the DLC. It just means I don't play those maps. I DO have a problem with overpriced DLC (such as £20 for two multiplayer maps or whatever.) and day one content. If it's content released on the same day as the game - It should be IN the game, it's almost like you're being made a second class citizen by not buying the "Ultra Gold Day Zero Darkside Warrior Edition". I looked at the different number of versions of Watchdogs when that was released with a large amount of what the ? Instead - I bought the normal version. Then, I can play the game and decide if I want DLC or not.

Though it's a little linear - and somewhat short, you could try Murdered: Soul Suspect. 'tis a brilliant little investigational adventure, or Infamous: Second Son - leagues better than the previous incarnations, it kept me hooked all the way to a Platinum.

Because it's not the same old 'reality tv' or 'I think I might be moderately talented so I deserve to be famous' generic 5#!te that seems to be prevelant these days... I could go on for hours about how anything actually good and worth watching (although usually sci-fi) gets pulled 'cause it's not 'mainstream' (Space: Above & Beyond? Babylon 5: Crusades?). *shakes fist*

Right - It's Friday, we're all tired and / or grumpy... so - time to lighten the mood... NEWS FLASH! A cheese factory has exploded in France - Reports say d'brie is everywhere...

We use Teamviewer - we have it set up on the servers for the various sites, to allow remote admin work and we have the link for the "quick and dirty" client on our helpdesk - so we can dive in at a users behest and remotely assist.

Haven't had anywhere near as much time on it as I'd like - but absolutely loving it. The grimoire is also good (get the companion app) as it helps with all the flavour and background. Still only level 4 at the minute - but once I get some solid time on it I'll catch up.

The Last of Us is also a beautiful, heartwrenching story where you really get to know the characters. The newest reboot of Tomb Raider, too - Lara's progression from scared and hesitant to tough as nails is brilliant, even if there doesn't feel that there is enough of the game. For all it's faults, Breath of Fire V: Dragon Quarter was also a fantastic storyline. Ryu's determination to get Nina to the surface - even to the cost of himself is just beautiful. If you want plot though - Planescape: Torment is massively convoluted but absolutely mindblowing.

If there's still a PS4 code going, I'll happily take it off your hands - after all, we don't want unused codes cluttering the place up, do we?

Just read about this on BBC - simples, just turn off the voice commands or turn the console off by the plug. Although I have a feeling this is affecting the same people that get tricked by the user with the gamertag "XBox Signout"

I've got a Win8.1 tablet on one of my networks and there seems to be a small amount of success with it. However - it is instead of a teacher laptop so it isn't really used as a pupil device.
