1. 'blank' is another good one... "Whats my password, Sir?" "Its blank" minutes of fun.
2. Hmmm, Quarter past 1 and I'm still waiting - these chestnuts aren't gonna roast themselves...
3. Last time I moved, I rang my provider in advance and spoke to them asking to have all current services transferred - I'd already checked the new place and the requisite gubbins was already installed so it was a simple case of them turning services off at one place and on at the other (admittedly, with an engineer sent to test it). I did have to go about half a day without services but I was lucky enough to get an appropriate timeslot.
4. Fixed it :-)
5. Actually - the world did end - I just restored it from backup.
6. You call this an end of the world? In my day we had proper ends of the world, with the four horsemen riding through the middle of town.
7. And I feel fiiiiine.
8. A pupil at one of the Special Schools I support was going round asking staff what they'd do if the world ended. My reply was that I'd probably catch up on my paperwork during the peace and quiet.
9. Blasphemy! Get. Out.
10. Nice idea and all - but how long would it take kids to pull the slide off it?
11. Okay - FFVII has been mentioned, Dungeon Keeper has been mentioned, and X-COM/UFO has been mentioned... Where's the love for Planescape:Torment, people? An absolute masterpiece of a game, with brilliant and complex roleplaying options - and Morte
12. Am I the only person that read this and thought (with everyone advertising as if Christmas is next week)... "And a Partridge in a Pear Treeeeeeee!" Seriously - sometimes the way my brain works worries even me.
13. They'll be the lower - resolution details
14. Another vote here for Samsung Tellys - got two myself connected to PS3s (upstairs and down). Solid build quality - crystal clear displays and a veritable wealth of connections on the back of both of them (plus - they were both much cheaper than the sony/other expensive brand alternatives). Last one I got was a 43" Full HD, 2xHDMI, 1xUSB (with the usual connections as well) for £400 quite a while back. You should be able to find something a bit smaller for £300 easily.
15. Pain....in....eyes...... ....Shatnerian.....in.....in..ten..si..ty
16. I looked at the OP's picture and immeditely thought: "Damn, I don't want Necromorphs running round this weekend - I've got plans"
17. I've also found there's a small 'Jump to your last post' arrow in a thread you've posted in.... funky.
18. I'm sure most people's sole reason to post in threads like this is to inflict terrible puns on everyone else.
19. It is not in Comic Sans - this pleases me.
20. Aaaand - Dunnit
21. It's saying that its hit the maximum number of replies.
22. In all the time I've been drinking - the only time I've ever had to produce ID was on my 18th, in a place I'd been drinking in for about 6 months. I found out later that a colleague where I worked had tried to stitch me up - only for the landlord to okay it (even though he realised I'd been drinking illegally beforehand). Problem for said colleague was - he was under 18 by almost a year and the landlord ID'd and turned him away due to an 'anonymous tip' *nudge, nudge* I do remember getting ID'd once when I was 28 - I have no idea why I just looked at the girl serving me and said "Please", but that seemed to convince her I was over 18. (I must add - I'm normally a LOT more polite to people doing their jobs and 99 times out of 100 I'd have simply produced the ID)
23. Inman has now finished the fundraiser - getting about 11 times his original plea. He still intends to take a photo and send it on Blog Update
24. Voted once from work, once from my phone - You've now got a healthy lead of 35...
25. ...and here was me expecting astronomical prices
