  1. It is constant though! How do you know the ins and outs of the problems, have you spoken to one of their account managers or do you just get your information from here? It's easy to criticise a company you don't use, just trying to stick the knife in a bit further! In my last job we had RM Broadband and in 3 years i may have had 3 hours of downtime with them. I never criticised SB then when this was happening and now 2 of the academies in our MAT are with them and have had problems I tend to stick to talking the problems out with support and our account manager. Your helping no one with this constant moaning!
  2. Do you just moan? It is like a broken record! SchoolsBroadband have problems we get it, we are the customers but your comments don't help! If i read between the lines you are not even a customer!
  3. Been looking around online but to no real look. I need to remove all group memberships (security groups) from quite a few users. They are now bunched together in an OU but need a simple way of removing group memberships. Like always hoping for a GUI unless it is a simple powershell script!
  4. Hi Dave I was not informed either. Only found out last night by someones else having issues.
  5. Thanks for this but don't quite get the script! I actually hate powershell!!!
  6. Just going to use the GUI and have same type of password but random digit and letter added. If you have any other way then that would be good.
  7. Ok script currently is DSQUERY user "OU= [intake Year],OU=Students,OU=User Resources,OU=[school Name],OU=[Academy],DC=[DC Name],DC=[],DC=[]" -limit 0 | DSMOD user -pwd Password1 What should i remove and not sure best way to add example 8 to it. So I want 1 kid to say get a password called Redcat8 whilst another to get Bluedog2 and so on.
  8. I need to reset the password for a number of users in different OU's. I have a powershell script which does the same password for all in an ou however i need a different password for each user. The password also needs to be simple but different for each user e.g. user 1 gets dog whilst user 2 gets cat. I have created a script to get these passwords but have no way of reseting the users password in AD. Prefer a GUI if possible
  9. Just trying to install .net frameworks 3.5 by adding the role and it just keeps giving me an error "the source files could not be found" Any quick way to install it?
  10. Do apple do this on purpose just to annoy us!
  11. Perfect just did that and worked. I am guessing there is nothing we can do about the message regarding they can leave the remote management or stop it completely?
  12. In Jamf it is not there. However in Apple School Manager it is but in a group called Devices added by apple configurator rather than our casper one. Any ideas?
  13. Try and navigate to the path from a workstation once it is logged in. Could be a permission error.
  14. Yes you are right! What is the next step then for it to go into Jamf?
  15. If i remember rightly it is in the registry settings in the management console. We used to store the background image on the C drive and then put that path in the RMMC. It is case sensitve and i belive it has to be a tiff image but was over a year ago since i worked on a CC4 system
  16. I thought that but bought them home and tried again and still same error/
  17. I have setup and followed this document https://www.jamf.com/jamf-nation/discussions/25452/how-to-use-jamfcloud-with-configurator-to-enroll-devices-into-your-dep however it gets to the final part where it gets to remote management on the ipad and it says the configuration for your ipad could not be downloaded from [school Name] Invalid Profile The error on apple config is InvalidProfile (MCPprofileErrorDomain - 0x3E8 (1000)) Anyone any ideas @Brimstone you ever seen this before?
  18. Trying to enroll some of our older ipads and the wifi profile goes on fine however the mdm profile installs properly but the trust certificate does not. It says it needs user intervention as it is not supervised. As my screenshot clearly shows this device is supervised! Any ideas on how to solve this?
  19. We had to do this. We also got Jamf! Best decision we ever made as it made it a lot easier!
  20. Think we will have to agree to disagree on this one. TASC sorted out nearly every problem i had.
