Anyone think the Xbox one X will come down in price next year?
-
I would look for a html countdown timer and then embed it as an iframe if possible.
-
I used something like this https://www.timeanddate.com/clocks/freecountdown.html Depends on where it is going, is it on a website or digital signage?
-
I use https://www.uk.insight.com/ for most bits now. Always fast and reliable.

I restarted the time service on the host and now it all seems to be working. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Time is spot on the DC. It has filtered down to some clients already but the hyper V server is still out so best off just waiting?
-
Ok command has been run and correct time is now on the DC. How long will it take to filter down to clients and servers?
-
Thanks Would you use something like server 0.uk.pool.ntp.org Edit: So would look like this @echo off net stop w32time w32tm /config /syncfromflags:manual /manualpeerlist:0.uk.pool.ntp.org w32tm /config /reliable:yes net start w32time w32tm /query /peers PAUSE Thanks

Ok Perfect. So just before i start this you are saying untick that then log onto the dc and run the batch script you gave me and then in theory should be good?
-
Sorry new to hyper V where are the advanced settings located in the hyper v manager?
-
Ok the hyper v server is looking at our dc for time. The dc however is looking at vm ic time synchronization provider for it's time.
-
Easiest way of doing this?
-
Thanks Ok just checked and it is also out on our hyper v server.
-
The time on our server and clients is out by a couple of minutes. Any quick/simple way of sorting this?

robocopy - How to get relevant data from log file
Shadow_Walker replied to Shadow_Walker's topic in Windows Server 2012
Sorry rushed my response. On the log file under each user it says failed and then 0 if no errors happen or if it has failed it will give us a number. I just want a way of searching for failed ones. -
robocopy - How to get relevant data from log file
Shadow_Walker replied to Shadow_Walker's topic in Windows Server 2012
Yes search failed but have 1000 of entries to go through... -
Ok so on the Thursday robocopy was run for the first to new home folders which went fine. We re ran over the weekend and thought everything was fine but now we have an issue as some folders were modified on Friday and not mirrored. We did not realise this until Tuesday so work had been done on Monday. Best way to explain is on Friday and excel spread sheet was modified and rows 33 and 34 were filled in. However as the spreadsheet was not copied correctly the user has now filled in rows 33 and 34 with new data however this should have gone in row 35 and 36. This is just an example but have same issue with word documents and some powerpoints. Not to wide spread and staff are amending documents by themselves manually but is there anyway to sort this.

Would it say on the Dell Management console?
-
Yes the PC in the server room can connect to the SAN as it shows Dell management software
-
Think i will go with the external hard drive way on the old setup
-
We put a new core and server in. We are not using the old SAN anymore and not using a SAN in the new setup. I migrated the core data before the engineers took the old core out. The issue was that there was some folders which were missed and we need access to them.
