LAN Settings automatically detect settings
Shadow_Walker replied to Shadow_Walker's topic in Windows Server 2012
Still not managed to figure this one out. Schools broadband are saying it is not them but i have my doubts. Anymore ideas of what i could run to see why this is happening? -
I know I spent weeks trying to get Profile Manager working. For some reason it just does not seem to work as intended.
-
Know this won't be much help but we had to ditch profile manager as it just would not work for our mac suite. Part solution was to use workgroup manager (had to install earlier version of mac os) as it was more stable but in the end we invested in casper suite and it just worked for us.

We have got a touch screen windows 10 screen which transforms into a table. We are looking for some ideas for windows 10 games that we could put on. Want educational if possible and interesting but any suggestions welcome. Free is better but paid can be done if the game is good enough.

No they don't that could be a good spot. The other 3 primaries all use EXA Broadband whilst this one uses schools broadband. -

No just blank. Are you running this on your machine or on the dhcp server? -

Yes that would make sense. I downloaded the tool but it could not find anything it just gives me a blank text document. -
At one of my primaries i have took over google chrome is hanging when it loads up. In the bottom left hand corner it says downloading proxy settings. They don't have a proxy and if i untick it by logging in as me it works fine. Have been looking group policy and cannot see the setting anywhere to change it to untick the setting. Am i missing it somewhere?

I just left a school which was CC4. Can't knock RM at all to be honest. They were always on the other end of the phone if something bad had happened and always were helpful on the helpdesk. I have just moved jobs to a Vanilla network so a bit of a learning curve to what i was used to with RM. We took out a flex contract with them and never looked back. I would recommend them to anyone if they asked me.

Windows update error 80244o2c
Shadow_Walker replied to Shadow_Walker's topic in Windows Server 2008 R2
Sorted! There was an old proxy.embc record in the lan settings. -
Trying to update one of our servers and keep getting this error code 80244o2c Checked that direct access and is fine. Our other servers seem to be picking up the updates but this one is not.

The School did not fail the kid at all and neither did the park. That ride is incredibly safe (have been on it too many times to count) and the only way you are falling out of that ride is if you are standing up. As you line up for the ride speakers blare out the safety instructions etc. Going on one of these trips with the school it is impossible to actually manage all the kids. We told them to go off in groups minimum of 4 but that still caused problems with some not wanting to go on some rides etc. Some teachers hate rides so won't go on them whilst others will and will meet kids on them. It is a real difficult one for the school.

Thanks for this! I have only been with trust which supports the school 2 weeks so just trying to work out what is what at the moment. It would be my intention to update them but not sure at the moment what the license situation is with Smart.

Just as I posted this i think i sorted it. In the users home folder there is a folder called smart notebook which had two xml files in. I deleted this folder and deleted the xml folder and when i launched notebook it then worked

Having an issue with SMART Notebook 11. when some teachers launch the application it does not load, i get windows is not responding and then it crashes. If i right click it run as administrator (enter my credentials) it works fine. I have elevated the user permissions when opening the file but it does not seem to have mad much difference.

I never thought i would ever consider a dashcam but after watch that show on the tv the other night think i am going to bite the bullet and get one!
-
I dont really want to mount them if possible but if i have too then i will try and put them in a position where you can barley notice them.
-
Thanks everyone, looks like ubiquiti is the one then. Just a couple of questions which one would you get from amazon then or any place cheaper and do you have to mount them to a ceiling or wall?
