Won't give any spoilers away but it feels too rushed! Feel like we needed two more seasons for both main battles to be done right.

Has anyone ever had the council drop a kerb for them? Was it an easy process or not? Am just buying a property at the moment and just wondering as there is a manhole cover on the path and just looking at the gap between the telephone pole and street lamp.

Yep we use Exa for our leased line and backup line solution. Fail over is automatic and has worked well for our trust and is our go to model now for all new internet lines.

Can you remote to it via the ip address?

This needs to be a memory stick as use chrome for everything else.

Not sure if this exists but we have got a memory stick plugged into a Smart TV but we want to keep updating the content. Currently we have to take the memory stick out and update it, is there any way to update the memory stick with new content wirelessly even if there is a memory stick we can buy to do this.

So a lot of similar ideas to what we are having. Hikvision will be our cameras and got a cabling company to run the cat6. I need a few more 2540 Aruba switches to stack them to our current switches which are full. I will create a cctv VLAN and tag each port with the cctv VLAN which a camera is plugged into. Looking at around 45 cameras altogether so can anyone see any problems or any slowness on the network?

Ok making more sense now. On the Hikvision NVR do you just specify the ip addresses of the cameras?

Ok still confused about where it goes after going into your switch.

How are they connected as i am struggling to get my head round it due to the size of the campus? Is it Camera > Patch Panel > Switch > Core Switch > NVR? I don't get how i will get the feed from the core to the NVR

Yes, I think i will need a new one creating but that is fine depending on number of cameras.

Looks like i have got a cctv project which needs implementing ASAP. Our Campus is on the large size and has over 8 different buildings, all varying in size. All buildings are connected back to our main building with our core switch in using OM4 Fibre. I have only ever done CCTV in one building so have all cameras going back to one NVR. We had our network upgrade last year so have brand new Aruba switches so how would you go about getting roughly 70 cameras setup across the campus? We would have a cable company installing the cat6 runs for the cameras then it is just how we can feed it into one NVR. Open to suggestions.

I honestly did not think it would that be that easy. When I have moved large quantities of folders between local file shares I always use Robbo copy.

What just drag and drop from on site folder to Team drive folder?

Can anyone recommend a way to move all data from our staff share from our onsite server to google team drive. The permissions of folders etc will be sorted once the data is in the private team drive, however we need all the data moved across ASAP so need some tools (free!!)

Any news when it will be available for education?

No one else got any ideas?

Is that done through sharepoint? Can you PM me what it looks like?

Nothing out there then?

Currently we have an intranet in our MAT but looking for a new solution. Want something which can be accessed internally and externally and thinking of looking at SharePoint. One of the big things we want to happen is a separate looking interface for primary students, secondary students and teachers but all using one url. Hoping to achieve this via security groups but cannot find anything online which gives me clear instructions but thinking sharepoint might do this. Looking for any solutions as long as they are priced well (cheap!) and do what we need.

We currently have that solution of a star network so have all sites connected back to central servers over a VPN however looking at other alternatives now.

Any MATS already implementing an MPLS network? Anyone have pros and cons for having one and anything to look out for.

Yep our MAT 30+ schools uses smoothwall across all sites and is centrally managed. Works well and smoothwall have been brilliant with setup and ongoing changes.

Chrome and IE,
