  1. It's anyone who works 200 hours or more per year unless they have no access to computers, such as lunchtime supervisors. So, TAs would count.
  2. We use VMware, if I was starting afresh I would seriously look at using Windows Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V and DPM as it really has moved on a lot now and with the school pricing on Microsoft stuff it saves a fortune over VMWare and Veaam. Veaam is getting really expensive now as they push into the enterprise market, although it does a brilliant job.

Loved it, Luca de Montezemolo, Adrian Newey and Bernie Ecclestone really do look stupid after their comments;) I love the current cars, yes the noses are ugly, but I think the engine noise is great, the massive amount of torque with less downforce really makes them show who has the biggest cahoonas:cool:

I don't want to say anything until after the BBC highlights, but I've followed F1 for nearly 30 years and that race is in my top 10 races I've ever watched.

If any of you haven't seen the race today and are in 2 minds about staying up to watch the BBC highlights, STAY UP AND WATCH IT:cool:
  6. We use Enviro Electronics - FREE IT Disposal Service Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Sheffield, North linconshire, Grimsby, Leeds, and they do not charge us anything. We are about 30 miles away from them, I don't know if they offer the container service nationally. They also log the disposal on a secure portal on their website, plus log destruction of hard drives on there.
  7. Our office used to be full of crud, now it's kept clear and tidy. Best thing we did was to change our electrical recycling company as they have provided us with a big container with wheels that sits in the corner of our office and any broken/old junk just gets chucked straight in there. When full they come and swap it with an empty one. It certainly stops junk being dumped all round our office. We also had a good clear out of all the leads etc, I mean who really needs a box full of over 100 dvi cables! Our office is lovely now, desks are clear, no junk to trip over, it's just a much nicer environment and looks more professional. We gets load of comments from staff about how much better it looks. So, I'm with your boss on this one, sorry!
  8. 84, if they don't use a computer you don't count them, but if they do use one sporadically then yes you count them.
  9. Just donated, good luck with it :-)
  10. Oh boy, https://www.humblebundle.com/weekly Bridge Project Trainz Simulator 12 Euro Truck Simulator 1 Wildlife Park 3 Professional Farmer 2014 Agriculture Simulator 2013 Gold Edition Agriculture Simulator Historical Farming Pool Nation All yours for $10 (£6.19 at current exchange rates)
  11. Yes I'd like to see the Red Bull dominance end, hats off to them for what they've achieved though. My personal dream for this year is to see Williams fighting near the front again:cool:
  12. If eating breakfast makes you feel ill, chances are you have an intolerance to something you're eating. If you are trying normal breakfast cereals with milk then you could well have a lactose (found in milk) or wheat intolerance. I would try starting off with a handful of nuts and berries and then maybe try porridge made with water etc. I would avoid processed food like cereal bars, they really won't help.
  13. Good to finally see some signs of decent pace in testing today, Hamilton just a second away from the fastest race lap time at Bahrain last year.
  14. If you want SIMS to run at a decent speed, you might want to ask the NSA if you can be on the list for one of their quantum computers... In reality, plenty of RAM (16GB+), high speed disks (maybe an SSD RAID if affordable) and plenty of grunt in the CPU cores (Higher speed in the cores rather than a massive number of cores tends to work better for SIMS).
  15. Personally, I'd look at getting up earlier and go for a brisk walk for half an hour, or go for a run. For breakfast, porridge or things with some protein such as eggs, nuts, ham etc, avoid sugary cereals.
  16. PM me their address and I know someone on here who for £5 plus petrol will make sure there is a re-draw...
  17. Do you have a laser cutter in your Technology department, we just get them to cut a perspex blanking plate that sticks over the top of the whole blanking plate area, much cheaper.
  18. Supplies for Schools are good, also Insight. Not that we buy many, nearly all managed now.

Williams have bagged Martini as their title sponsor, which means....the Martini Racing livery will be back in F1
  20. Its also worth crunching the numbers on a Schools Agreement annual license as well, which is based on number of computers in the school rather than staff. For some schools with a large number of staff but not so many computers it works out cheaper than EES.
  21. Anyone working 200hrs per annum, unless they do not use the computers eg Lunchtime Supervisors. The other method is for the USA.
  22. Wooot, that's the Valentines Day prezzy sorted:peace:
  23. I think you might need to restart MSE or restart the machine.
  24. If you want really quick recovery, look at VMWare Site Recovery Manager, but that is complicated and a bit of a PITA.
