The best way is to use the compliance centre, it give you a proper audit log of what you’ve done. When I used to use it I’d set up the search and the result would be sent to the relevant SLT member. Works well, especially if you need to look at multiple email accounts

If you like MR Robot then you'd probably like the TV series Legion. Currently rewatching Walking Dead with Mrs Teejay, she wasn't interested when I first watched it. She is now hooked and was up till 3 am watching it. They really should ban that feature that auto starts the next episode ;-)

Fantastic win by Scotland, well deserved, just a shame their coach is leaving just as they start improving. Nice job there, I started doing scale models again a couple of years ago, gets very addictive ;-) If you like doing F1 cars, have a look at the Tamiya ones, much nicer than the Revell kits. For the decals, spray on gloss modelling varnish first, let harden and then use some Microsol and Microset for applying the decals. Britmodeller is a great site for advice.

PS Financials is very popular for finance in schools, as for SIMS then they all have various issues, but I know quite a few schools who moved from SIMS to a different MIS and ended up moving back to SIMS. If cost is your main factor which seems to be intimated by your OP, look at alternative support providers for you SIMS/FMS support. We moved a couple of years ago and save a lot of money, in the thousands, plus have better support and consultancy/training is a lot cheaper at about half the price of Capita and tbh is better. So, ask around for support providers, the one we use is in the North so probably wouldn't want to support a school in Essex.

Weird, never had a problem on our VMWare virtual servers with time synch. If we lost our main Virtual hosts we have a live DC on our DR side, much easier than having a hardware failure on a physical DC.

A physical DC is no longer required if you go to server 2012 or higher. It's well worth it to do that anyway as AD is much more robust on those and don't have the time issues etc.

One other thing is to check you have manually set a root bridge in your spanning tree protocol, if left on automatic it will set the root bridge onto the switch with the lowest MAC address, which is usually some carp old switch that needs binning and will really slow things down.

It might be worth looking at Arcserve UDP which will do physical and virtual, works very well.

Printers tend to be very noisy on the network so that's usually one of my first ones to VLAN off. You might want to download Wireshark and see what the traffic is like on your network which will help you to decide how to split it.

TBH unless you're in an area with very high demand then getting a cash buyer at that price I'd be snapping their hands off. If you've had it on sale for that long with no other offers then I think you'll be very lucky to get anything better. When we were selling a couple of years ago, the cash buyers were putting in offers £15-20k below the asking price. We ended up selling to a first time buyer, but that wasn't exactly an easy process.

That's how it was set up by Nominet with the third level bit, not really to do with the councils. I've spoken to Nominet about it and they won't budge, their argument is that too many schools have the same name. A bit annoying as plenty of businesses have similar names and manage fine.
