Official purchase orders are all done through PSF, I keep track of the budget in a spreadsheet I've built taking into account prepayments and upcoming known/estimated costs and then just record the item/date/department/budget/quantity/supplier/cost so that once a month I can check the PSF budget to check that nothings been allocated to me that shouldn't have been.

Daft question, but have you tried swaping the lamp from a known working projector? Easy way to rule the lamp out.

We run our SIP lines over a dedicated FTTC connection, not had any issues in the 18 months we've had it this way so far. I suppose it will depend on how many lines you need?

MAK keys just keep increasing the count each time a machine is activated, so if you activate 10 machines using it and then rebuild each one 5 times, you'll have used in total 60 of the Activations. If you have access to the VLSC you can see how many activations you've used.

I would make best efforts to get people to log out of SIMS, but it should apply ok (and it's becoming harder and harder to do so). I normally run a manual database backup before applying the patch anyway (even thought Solus3 also does this) just to be on the safeside should things go wrong...

No, if you deploy it using Solus3 it will go to all of the targets that meet the criteria. So workstation patch = all workstations. Normally Capita release a seperate download on My Account that you can run on individual workstations if you wish.

They are set within the Exams application, I think under the School Details, but I might be wrong. I don't know whether it will like a UNC path.

The cable was in place for mine, however it needed Openreach to come and connect it. From placing the order for a new line to getting the line connected was about 5/6 weeks and then it was about 4 weeks more for internet to be activated because BT forgot to place the order...

Not related to GDrive however, we get the "Powerpoint is unstable" message if the user has the preview pane open in explorer and then opens the powerpoint. If the preview pane is closed, then the error doesn't occur. Might help someone else.

Hi all Having battled on against various things today trying to get a Windows 10 image (which has taken me all day), the last stumbling block I had was the install failing because my Applocker policy didn't have any rules for Apps, so it denied everything by default. I've created the Default rule which is allow all apps, however wondered if anyone had any suggestions as to a better set of Default Rules to apply to it? Any advice much appreciated!

Don't know the exact model, but on the majority of our machines there are 2 USB2 ports on the back normally under the network cable which will function during the setup.

Is the allowed categories above the blocked categories in your filter rules?

I'm a bit confused, is your source grade 8-7 or 7+ and 8-? If it's 7+/8- you could map both of them to 8-7, it doesn't need to be a direct 1-1 relationship.

Very, all we did was add the subdomains into the Office 365 domains section, got the DNS records applied as required and then once that was all done it's available to choose as an email/username. we have an @pupil and @Governors subdomain within our tenant. Pupils and staff see the same global address list, Governors are on a seperate global address list which is blank.

We give the vast majority of ours Class Teacher permissions - the main reason being that for whatever reason Admin Assistant permissions can't see Assessment Manager or Profiles documents in Linked documents and I've never been able to find the permission needed to be able to view them. It is rather rediculous as if we need an extra report printing off for someone, who's likely to do it....

For our non domain machines I just export the installer from Solus 3, manually install on the laptop and then use it to add the targets from an existing agent. Also handy for reinstalling Solus3 on a machine that's been reimaged. The only thing I do manually with the firewall is add the 3 executables as exceptions so the package deployer, agent ui and offline deployer. I don't know if you need all 3, however the only issue I've had is when the deployment tries to being but the firewall isn't configured correctly, it sometimes for whatever reason won't time out doing what it's doing until several hours later.

Is it linked to a phone? We had a very strange issue with a Samsung phone where the calendar would just go out of sync and stop updating completey, however that was on the mobile rather then anything else. Might be worth trying to stop the calendar syncing anywhere else in case there is something going askew there.
