Hi all I'm not really sure where to post this or what to do. I have setup an AP on our Unifi system to use WPA-Enterprise and for the time being, just to forward that to our Smoothwall box on it's own VLAN. Smoothwall is setup to provide the radius services, DHCP and I've a separate Ubuntu box on the VLAN to provide DNS (and eventually it'll provide a web portal with some other links/services on it when I get around to it). My wireless client can connect to the SSID and it receives an IP address. I can ping the Ubuntu box and can resolve DNS successfully. The smoothwall box can also ping the Ubuntu box. The Ubuntu box can ping both devices. I can't however ping Smoothwall or get any web access from the client on the BYOD network. Smoothwall is also unable to ping the client. Something somewhere is obviously going wrong, however I'm at a loss now as to where to look to try and work out what it might be. I can't see why it would be the VLAN as if it was neither device would be able to ping the Ubuntu box. Anyone able to offer up any advice?

They will need to have a status of Accepted I think, but they will also need to be in the band for year 7 at the start of your new academic year - if they aren't in that then they won't appear I don't think.

Have a look at the Performance points for qualifications counting in the 2019 key stage 4 performance tables on https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/key-stage-4-qualifications-discount-codes-and-point-scores - it is a useful document. For the double science, the qualification has a GCSE Equivalence of a single GCSE, 9-9 being awarded 9 points, 9-8 8.5, 8-8 8 etc decreasing .5 points for each decrease in grade.

Yep, that's what we do. That way if you rebuild a machine and copy the Unlock.cfg file back it will already be activated to that device so it saves you a step in the future of having to log in to the account to activate it again. What might save you a bit for time is we setup a programdata structure in the share and then just copied that folder to the local machine and merged it, then manually did the unlock.cfg file steps after that. Only a little bit of a time saving but I take anything I can get with this.... These are the exact steps I wrote down so I don't forget: Go to \\server\deploy$\Ableton Live Intro\ Copy the ProgramData folder and paste onto the C Drive (Merging the changes) Install Ableton Live using the installer – alter the install location to: C:\Program Files\Ableton\Live 9 Intro\ Untick the Launch Live before finishing the Installer Copy the Unlock.cfg file from the Master Unlock folder and paste it into C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live 9.7.2\Unlock Alter the permissions on c:\ProgramData\Ableton\SharedFolders so that Domain Users has Modify permission over it Launch Ableton and authorise it: Username: / Password: Copy the unlock file back from the computer to the server so that it holds all the activation records. Move the unlock file from C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live 9.7.2\Unlock to C:\ProgramData\Ableton\CommonConfiguration\Live 9.7.2\Unlock Copy the shortcut from the Start Menu to c:\users\public\desktop Test Ableton using your own user account to check it launches without error. Obviously the username for the path where the unlock goes to will depend on your installing user. Hope that helps! Edit: You might want the attached options.txt file which goes into the preferences folder (C:\programdata\ableton\commonconfiguration\live 9.7.2\preferences) to disable the auto update and configure some shared paths (although despite what their instructions say, the % marks as variables don't work properly). We have it deployed and had to do the stupid activation and do it on each PC individually. The only thing we did to try and ease it was to copy the file back and forth to the network as we did it, that way if we reinstall it we can atleast skip the activation part as the file will contain all the activations for the PC. It does work, however we also disabled the autoupdate on the install and in the config files - the activation and config file depends on the version number and the folders being named the same as the installed version, so if the install updates and you end up with a different versioned install the activation file then gets messed up. I'm not a fan, this was version 9 though maybe 10 has hopefully improved but it doesn't sound like it.

If you are able to download patches you should be ok, if you use Intouch/any other parental communication probably worth checking that. Also, A2C depending on whether it was configured to use the proxy so that the exams office is actually able to download the results.

I've done 2 schools previously both with the 3 month overlap from Nominet and we never had any noticeable impact. We did 2 things: 1. Redirected all mail as you were planning too. 2. On staff mailboxes in Office 365 setup a mail rule which would autorespond if the received domain was the old domain rather than the new - this was the only time consuming bit which became a pain as it needed to be done individually within Outlook, there may be a better way of doing it. The only other bit was timing so that we started the process at a reasonable point and knew when it would finish. One we did in July to finish at the end of September, the other we did September to finish in November. There is only so much that can be done and the advantage of the .sch.uk domain is that it is unlikely anyone would ever pick up the old domain.

Doesn't help, but as a school dealing direct with Capita I set our Solus3 registration password when we installed Solus3 - it's not in any handy migration/notes documents left on the server anywhere? The migration guide says at step 39 that you need to re-register the site so that it gets the security keys. Don't suppose you can bypass BTLS and get Capita to reset the password for you?

Think things are getting confused. Patch 25040 is included with the summer release, Patch 25058 which is the diagnostic check to identify any issues isn't included with the Summer release.

I don't know the answer to that sorry, I've been out of the loop in doing a two week timetable since it was introduced as someone else took it on. I don't think your model is wrong as you are going to interleave it, I think it's a limitation of the interleave process which leaves you two options. 1 - suspend the one per day rule in some form and do it that way. 2 - make a note of the additional things that you need to schedule, do the majority, interleave it and then do the additional scheduling. I might be wrong, but it's what I take from having a quick glance at the Nova T6 manual, approximately page 475 (limitations of interleave).

As it's the same subject but different member of staff, you could set the one per day rule to cluster by staff for that block and it should do it.

If you use SIMS, they provide a KS2 calculator however last year there were various rounding errors in it that meant it wasn't 100% accurate and Capita wern't that interested in correcting it. I think last year I built a very simple spreadsheet that calculated it and made some manual adjustments for missing grades/absentee's based on the information in the Accountability Measures guidance. If you look on the ready reconer and unhide the tabs you'll be able to get the lookup values that make the calculations which you'll be able to adapt into a spreadsheet to do a vlookup and then add the 2 values together and divide by 2.

UBF requires a little bit of work with a bit of planing. You'll need to install the Unify sync tool on one server and then the password filter on all DC's. Passwords for all users will then need to be reset and then UBF will work when pointed to the correct UBF proxy. That's why we make use of the 4 proxies at the moment as due to some peculiarities to our network I can't just reset all passwords at the moment (long story), so various groups point to the different proxies set via group policy.

If your on the new version of RM Safetynet, you can configure up to 4 proxies each with a different level of filtering, so we have our default which the kids used, a staff one which has Youtube and a few other sites unblocked and then an "unfiltered" one which allows facebook and other social media. Group policy then just pushes out the correct proxy address to the user. Previously we used the staff proxy option. UBF is fairly straightforward, the major barrier to us because of the legacy network setup is resetting everyone's password to allow the passwords to be sync'd.

Well we do the address on a best attempt basis - we have the information that came from the ATF which the parent obviously provided and we update known changes, ATF's from our LA aren't known for their reliability or accuracy for having data in the correct places (although I think they are better then they used to be). Yes, within admissions to be uploaded to ParentPay they need to be marked as Accepted, otherwise it will ignore them. Then you just use the Pre-Admission menu option rather than Pupils to upload them using the MIS:Sync tool. Any changes you make to Pre-admissions that you want reflected in ParentPay, just re-run the Pre-admission sync.

A Preadmission needs to have a UPN otherwise they won't get uploaded to ParentPay (Onroll students you can get away with just an admission number) and they also need to have a status of Accepted. The other thing we check is that the home address is correct and the Parental Salutation has been generated otherwise you get parent/guardian on the ParentPay letters. From memory I don't think there's anything else, however while I've uploaded our Preadmissions we haven't yet got as far as generating the letters.

ParentPay will let you upload your preadmissions to it and from there you can generate the letters for the usernames/passwords which will allow them to sign up. Then when you go to create a payment simply change the assigned to box from pupils to preadmissions and then assign from there.

I gave up on using it for Remote Desktop Gateway and went for a Port Forward instead.

100/100 connection - roughly £7k We are quite rural so it took a carrier wanting to work more in the area to get that price - most others were still quoting £10k+

I can't remember whether it was was everyone or authenticated users I tried to use previously (and we're talking many years ago) and it didn't work properly, since then I've stuck with Domain Computers having read permissions to the share and never had an issue since. Might be worth a go?

That looks like phpmyadmin for a mysql database - your DBtype is set to Mariadb is that correct?

As far as I know that's not possible, all SIMS is showing is the lesson for each period which will need to show something regardless as each part of the double/tripple etc could be held in different rooms and by different teachers.
