That doesn't sound right. I did set user balances the other day using batch import - so if you can get their balances out of the old database (say build a temporary VM and shove Papercut on it? Or manually export the DB?) then you can batch import it back.

Do laptops on battery retain their WOL voltage in the capacitors? If they're shutdown before being returned to the charger, would they still WOL with or without power applied - I suspect not, until they've been powered up once on power?

Yeah, we have Mon_1 to Mon_6, Tue_1 to Tue_6, etc that match our individual sessions. Also Mon_Break, Mon_Lunch etc as well as All_Breaks, All_Lunch.

Since iOS 9 came out last week, our beta testers (aka those who ignore the warning on staff & student noticeboards not to update) have had several problems with 'verification failed' errors. We did install a caching server internally over the summer, which is serving apps fine and hasn't affected iOS 8.* since it was installed. It's only serving 192.168.* Does anyone know of any server / port / URL changes to Apple with iOS 9 that I need to add to our Apple Bypass filter rules in smoothwall? Peter

Payroll seems to work well. Install client on server, which installs .mdb's into a folder - share it, then install client on client PCs. I (currently) have to update it two or three times a year, which just means logging into each user's PC as an admin and running the regular exe and it pops up and prompts to upgrade. The first user you do it on also updates the database. I guess if I set software exceptions I could let users do the upgrade, but I haven't got around to that yet. I think HR is still with NYCC county's HR systems, which we access via a Citrix link. Peter

Have you got Powershell on your DCs, or the RSAT tools on your PC with Powershell? It should be a one-liner or possibly two. That's without testing!

Don't forget double "" if you need to include a " inside the command. concatenate takes as many parts as you want. =concatenate("Hi ",a1,"please can","you report to room",b1,"at the following time",c1) would produce "Hi Peterplease canyou report to roomS5at the following time10.30" Very powerful command. As mowgli says, copy the resulting column B into notepad, save as a .bat file, and hey presto.

Me neither - the last-but-one chap came to our meetings twice; from what I recall they had what I'd call non-standard setup - which ties in with the advert; we couldn't help each other because the skill-sets didn't match the systems in place.

Yes - Apple don't seem to trust GoDaddy certs unless you deploy them to the devices. I've just seen RPettit's response, but I'm sure I already did that - I'm familiar with combining cert chains into one. Peter

No worries - I know I applied it last week because we had a problem with there being no lessons to cover in Cover; we're still finding things that our colleague used to do, who left in October, that still need doing. Peter

Please excuse my ignorance, but she's been timetabling for 18 months or so now, and assisting with it before then. (The other lady who's done it for 20 years left in October) If she's never used 'apply timetable' in that time, but the timetables have never been wrong, what does it do that is any different to what she currently does? Peter

Erm... I've just asked her what she does. In Nova, she exports curriculum and timetable to SQL, which asks for her SIMS user/password then takes her through a wizard. That's all she's ever done; she has never touched the menu item "Tools > Acedemic Management > Apply Timetable" (which I know is there but I've never touched either). Does this answer your question?
