Morning. I've been asked to look at our attachment limits. Currently inbound/outbound is set to 10mb for staff and I think 5mb for students. What do other schools use? Cheers.

I'm just trying this, and it's letting me own the business, but I can't verify it as there's a duplicate location already on Google Maps. I've had to request access from the current owner - if they don't reply in 7 days, I can provide evidence of who I am to Google and they'll kick the other person off.

Our school holidays are often wrong on myschoolholidays.com and termdates.com - it doesn't matter how many times we tell parents, or email then during the week running up to holidays, they still use these two websites (which appear 2nd and 3rd on Google when you search our holidays, behind our own website which is 1st) as the authoritative source. We were going to use Worldpay with our NRS system, but Worldpay want to know intimate details of all the Governors, far and above what is appropriate.

I've not done any looking, but at a Network Managers meeting on Friday a few secondaries had moved/were moving to Bromcom. They did comment though that Arbor was likely to be market leader in 5 years, it's just not quite ready yet.

You may already know/realise this, but make sure you're using correct domain name suffix (DHCP option 15). The APs aren't joined to the domain, so when they try and reach "unifi" they don't know which domain suffix/lookup zone to use. I was happily pinging "unifi" from my PC, which I hadn't consciously realised was automatically resolving to unifi.my.lan I was trying all sorts of ways of adding . to my DNS server, so that unifi (ie unifi.) would resolve. I was eventually pointed at DHCP option 15 which tells the APs that they should use .my.lan when looking for unifi, ie unifi.my.lan, and that sorted me out. Peter

We had Kyocera's on last contract (to 2018). Now on Konica's. Far less callouts and far less thirsty on the toners than the Kyo's.

Nah, treble clef is EGBDF going upwards. Bass clef is AFDBG going down, which would then be GBDFA (Good Boys... )as you say, going upwards.

Ditto... I can't see the route mentioned containing anything about auth settings. -
He's suggesting same as me, except he's incrementing a variable from 0 to 1, 2, 3 and testing if it's >0 rather than setting it true/false. Peter

Thanks Bob. I'm pretty sure we're doing that the same as you. Date is 07/09/2020, Year is 11, student picker is showing year 10's who would be in year 11 next year - as you describe. But, the year 10's it is showing are last years year 10's, currently in year 11, who will be in year 12 next year. I know the student called Jay on the screenshot and i've double triple checked he's currently in year 11. Peter

I've just logged in and looked; she swears blind that she had setup academic promotion but there's none there. (She's setup new academic year ok). I've put in rules for 10>11, but it still showing wrong in Online. I can't check Options or NT6 as I don't know what i'm doing and don't want to break things

Hi. My colleagues are setting up plans for 2020/21 but the students are still showing in last-years year group (ie a current year 11 student is showing in year 10 on Options). How/where does Options Online data come from? On a (probably related note) the SIMS Service Manager is showing attached. I've installed patch 25266 (Sims online Services Schema) and restarted the service but no change. Anyone else / any advice? (I've logged a ticket but it'll be christmas before they get back to me) Peter

It's a while since I did VB, but the logic approach I would use would be: In the key handler, set a variable AllowClose = True. Then in the close handler, add "if AllowClose then....". Peter

Thanks, I thought i'd looked there a couple of weeks ago when I started on this, but i'll look again. Peter

Hi. Adobe CC 2019 writes to a log file in %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Temp during install, which is fine if i'm logged on as an administrator. We use RM CC4 to deploy the installs; does anyone know what %userprofile% would resolve to whilst an EXE is being deployed by RM rather than executed when logged in? Peter

[email protected] will probably have some. He supplies and repairs most of our 1800 iPads.
