iPad still managed... even after removing all management related !
gtg93 replied to tsutton's topic in Enterprise Software
How long has it been since you released it? I've known it take a good few hours to apply MDM changes in ASM, so assume removing it from the DEP could be the same. Alternatively, if you call Apple and ask to speak to the education team, as long as you can provide proof of purchase they should be able to release this for you at their end. They're usually really helpful. -
Unfortunately, this key was already in place... I've also tried adding it to "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Internet" and "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Internet" to no avail.

Thank you - I'll give this a go and report back if it fixes as this thread is one of the top ones on Google search for this issue.

If they have signed into the OS on the other PCs, it'll need doing on those too. I would then advise the user that when they login to an app, they'll get a prompt similar to the below. They should tick "No, sign into this app only" to prevent this happening again.

I had this same issue, and it was because the user had linked their personal account to the OS, not just signed into Office. This needed clearing in Settings > Accounts > Access Work or School, Settings > Accounts > Email & Accounts and Office itself.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but did you ever get anywhere with this issue @masond? Having the same issue here with PowerPoint 2019, testing on a machine on unfiltered connection (no proxy, no https inspection). Tried the uncheck ‘do not save encrypted pages to disk’ suggestion. Tried enabling "User Account Control: Run All Administrators in Admin Approval Mode" via GPO (suggestion on MS forums). Tried enabling protected mode in Internet Settings via GPO (suggested in MS KB). Tried various other security setting changes in internet settings - enabling active content etc as a test. Also enabled active content in PowerPoint settings too. All to no avail.

Hi All, We have a about 100 iPads managed via Mosyle (free) here, and the school are wanting to deploy ibooks purchased on the ASM/VPP platform. Now the iPads are setup as shared devices in Mosyle with no Apple account signed in on them - any idea the best way forward? Mosyle seems to imply it is possible to do this, though not quite as easily as deploying apps: When I deploy a book to a shared cart, the devices don't prompt for anything. The book shows up in the Mosyle Manager app, but when you click install it simply says "Please, check your licenses to continue the installation". The book still shows pending deployment in Mosyle, and when I look at the commands list for this device it shows as follows: Presumably I'm missing something?

It's possible in PowerPoint - simply go to Slide Show > Record Slide Show and you can go through your PowerPoint and add narration/video to it (one, the other or both) from your mic/webcam. edit - It's also worth noting the "present online" option under slideshow if you're for some reason wanting to do the presentation live. However if it was live I'd probably be using Teams personally and sharing a screen running the presentation.

We had the same issue for SATs Companion via censornet/ussgateway and had to unblock the individual URLs which they supplied to us (fortunately!) URLs looked like this: https://player.vimeo.com/video/145127861 I have the full list if anyone would find it useful. Won't insert them here as not to hijack the thread but thought the above info might be useful. -
Sounds like it maybe trying to sign you in with a microsoft account rather than a "work or school" account (if you've had your account a while, it's possible the email address is linked to two accounts as some services you couldn't use a "work or school" account on). Sounds basic but have you tried clearing the app's data / reinstalling it to start again?

We suffered the same problem - the script I linked above on a scheduled task running every 5 minutes resolved the issue for us until we could get to the root of the problem. +1 for Foxit too, but I would recommend installing the ADMX files if you go down this route.

We've had this issue with various different print drivers, from different manufactures, but mainly when we've had secure print / account track enabled on photocopiers* - Deploying the new Chromium based edge seems to fix this issue. Alternatively we have previously deployed default apps for PDF via GPO to be Adobe Reader and also had a script that checks for errors in the spooler and clears it if it finds anything, running as a scheduled task every 5 mins. #To run as a schedule task setup the following - powershell.exe -ExecutionPolicy Bypass C:\Clear_errored_spooler.ps1 Clear-Host $DateTime = Get-Date -Format G Start-Transcript -Path C:\QueueLog.txt -Append Write-Host "Checking printers and queues for errors" #Get any documents from all printers that in an error state $Errors = @(Get-Printer | Get-PrintJob | Where {$_.JobStatus -NotMatch "Printing|Printed"}).Count If ($Errors -gt 0) { Write-Warning "$DateTime - $Errors job(s) found in error in the print spooler, clearing!" Stop-Service spooler Remove-Item -Path "C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS\*.SPL" -Force Remove-Item -Path "C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS\*.SHD" -Force Start-Service spooler Write-Host "Printer queues have been cleared" } else { Write-Host "$DateTime - No job(s) found in error in the print spooler, exiting!" } Stop-Transcript Exit * I found on some old Konica's that using AD Authentication instead of the built-in copier authentication worked better - may have been a coincidence though.

Would something like ClassDojo not be easier? Essentially Twitter for the school, also allows for communications with parents as far as I'm aware, and works as a rewards system. There's also Edmodo, which used to be free and was almost a private social network. I've also used Elgg in the past for something similar, however not sure how it'd work as an app.

I have the P30 Pro and this is installed by default - can't remove without root. Just checked and all the permissions are disabled for the app on my phone except calls and sms (believe I had to enable these to use the default caller/text app). Not been forced to enable any of the other permissions for other default apps however... Concerning how many apps request such permissions in the Play Store without any need whatsoever.

[1809, ou] Snip & Sketch - Error saving "Something went wrong"
gtg93 replied to Chaniel's topic in Windows 10
Not exactly a fix, however personally I continue to use the snipping tool which I pulled off of a machine before it was removed. I'm not a fan of the modern apps and tend to avoid where possible.
