  1. This is exactly why we use Zoom. We're a GSuite school but you can't force our staff iPads to record a Google Meet meeting to a central location - if it records to cloud, it's to their own Drive which SLT can't access. We have control of our domain and staff teaching from home in isolation all use @school.com zoom accounts, SSO from GSuite.
  2. Hi We've received 70 laptops from the Government, which boot straight into the OOBE. Whilst i'm familiar with MDT/WDS/Sysprep/SCCM we don't use it as we're RM CC4. I wondered whether it was possible to just copy an unattend.xml or autounattend.xml onto the C: drive of these laptops then reboot, and have them auto-configure the OOBE including joining domain etc as though i'd put the unattend.xml on the installation media? Peter
  3. Nope, same as you with the Dynabook E-10-G-140's we got.
  4. Hi Our students local profiles on c: are filling up due to multiple copies of the files they've saved seemingly being synced to/from CC online storage, into their local profile. Has anyone found a programmatic (reg/ini/etc) way of disabling sync or controlling these files? Most our PCs are 250GB SSDs but the Art room is still on 120GB SSDs and the disks are filling up! Peter
  5. Similarly, we issue lanyards and holders up front but never re-issue them, so it's only the cost of the card that we would be allowed to recoop if we did charge.
  6. I wish...!
  7. I've got the Honeywell system. Four TRVs in use (where they replaced normal TRVs) and another four in a box for when I can be bothered draining the radiators to install the TRV taps. Peter
  8. We give our 1800 kids them. Mifare cards for ID, Paxton, Copiers and Cashless Catering. We reprint maybe 10 a day.
  9. We believe Chrome update has just shutdown 3 of our IT Suites within a couple of minutes. Only thing at the time of shutdown is the Chrome updater doing its thing. I hope it doesn't happen on the other 800 PCs.
  10. No chance Year 11 are normally off in August, but we kept them on for COVID resit applications this year; they're being switched off next week. Peter
  11. We don't use it for this YET but Inventry does this for AM/PM sessions with Mifare. If you're in before "x" then you are marked present for AM. If you're still here at 1pm and sign out after 3pm, or you've gone out and back at lunch, you are marked present for PM. If you go out before 1pm and don't return, you're marked absent. Something like that anyway. Peter
  12. You're brave...! Our ticket #6052119 was open from approximately March till September waiting to be assigned to a very busy person. That's surely a record, even allowing for COVID. Peter
  13. RM used GP modelling/results down the bottom of Group Policy Management Console last month. I had still been stuck using RSOP on clients.
  14. I use 4Gon at home / community centre, but MSDist won our tender process last September. - - - Updated - - - ps - the 5-pack weren't always cheaper than five singles.
  15. Have you followed http://www.edugeek.net/forums/smoothwall-direct-support/217557-parents-evening-software-being-blocked-smoothwall.html That in turn points you to https://support.parentseveningsystem.co.uk/article/825-video-appointments-network-requirements
  16. Excellent, thanks - i'll get those re-run. Do you have your logging set to Simple or Full? Peter
  17. Nope, not me, definitely not me... Ask me again last week and it might possibly have... (Migrated to 2016 in summer but only decommissioned 2010 last week!)
  18. We moved to 2016 last October and SIMS has been ridiculous all year since. I've worked through all sorts with support. They've today told me to change the Compatibility Mode of the SIMS DB down to 2012 as they have had performance issues on 2016; it's on my list to try tonight as can't be done when people are using SIMS. Peter
  19. Ok, I would probably change it to use a Timezone anyway - then the exterior door will never unlock on a Bank Holiday or school holiday for example. (In fact thinking about it, why aren't you using "Unlock the door during:" within the doors own settings? You could also tick the "Don't unlock until I arrive" option - we use this for our car park barriers which are padlocked shut overnight) I don't think Paxton can put any conditions on "don't unlock the door if I've locked it early with the IO button". What you could consider doing is wiring the door through both relays, 1 and 2. Have the IO board control relay2, so that if relay 2 is open there's no way the timer event (which opens relay 1 only) can unlock the door as relay 2 is still shut. If you have a Paxton reader on the door, set it to open both relay 1 and 2. Peter - - - Updated - - - (What @bald_pig said!)
  20. Are you using a "When timezone is active" trigger, for the close/open? I'm not sure anything will stop that from happening, other than making the timezone not active. Is this for a holiday/school closed thing? If so, add Custom Days into Paxton then set your holidays or different days so that they have different (or non-existent times) on your Timezone.
  21. If you get hit by something it intercepts, or get hit by something after you had cancelled the renewal... absolutely!
  22. I *think* if you terminate *wonde*.exe and re-run them (or the service they're attached to) it forces. I had a "Your SIMS isn't working, we haven't seen data" phone call, so I went and did this and checked and they could then see SIMS. Whether the end-user products sync with Wonde once Wonde has the data is another question. Peter
  23. Our account manager has been impossible to get hold of recently! We've got 40 cases lost in the ether, plus a tender out for 450 iPads - will be interesting to see if he responds.
  24. We've got 3 Pro licenses, not business though. It was 9 during lockdown, monthly renewal, but i've consolidated to 3 annual now.
  25. I should say. The ClassGroup is the last two characters of their title. Mr = Mr rs = Mrs ss = Miss er = Master Dr = Dr etc This allows us to mail-merge with Excel later, and convert back to the correct title.
