It should just be the vpp account details you need from now on. Sounds like you're getting there. The ipads may need to come in to be wiped and then redone so they just install the vpp apps so no trace of another apple id on the ipads. Once all apps have been migrated to mdm if not done already.

Seems to have a good few workarounds here Apple Configurator 2 Workarounds ? Techion

AC 2.5 manual https://help.apple.com/configurator/mac/2.5/#/cadbf9c811 may have some useful bits in that might help. Also as you are still trying to use the old method of importing apps etc have you been through this process with apple? OBTAINING FREE ILIFE & IWORK APPS If you are migrating from Apple Configurator 1 you will need to reapply for new managed distribution licenses of Pages, Numbers, Keynote, iMovie and GarageBand. This requires uploading proof of purchase with a list of eligible iPad serial numbers here. (out of date as you can just order new free ones now) MIGRATING YOUR PAID APPS Apple have created an online form for migrating your paid apps to managed distribution. Simply fill out the form here, selecting ‘Migrate from redemption codes to managed distribution’ from the dropdown list. Apple will look at your purchase history and convert all your previously purchased apps to managed distribution.

It may be VPP downloads the correct version for the device as it's coming from the internet not a locally cached app etc (I Think)
-
Not sure what boards you have etc but these may help as you can still download new drivers etc https://support.smarttech.com/en/downloads/product-drivers/12_9-and-ink-5_2

Are the drivers/software/firmware all up to date?
-
IOS 11 won't run any 32bit apps could it be that for toontastic etc? as well as not being from vpp etc.

We're seeing problems on our MDM with a few test upgraded Ipads. The apple apps refuse to install. Everything else installs ok

Apple Configurator 2 - Apps 'Waiting' - GAAAAAARHHHHHH!!!
atcoates replied to LegacyPulsar's topic in Mac
As stupid as it sounds we had issues with non apple cables pre MDM days. Is it always the same set of apps that fail? We found that our ISP seems to block some downloads from apple as well. If you took the mac home and ran through the process that would rule that out (I've done that before).- 16 replies

Are you using VPP codes or have apple converted them to managed distribution and you have signed into AC 2.5 with your VPP login etc.- 16 replies

[ipad] Which iDevice MDM solution would you use today?
atcoates replied to DJ-1701's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
We use Meraki on all our devices and works really well. -
New update out today not sure if it helps with this though.
-
Could well just be a bug and the only solution is to avoid updating till apple have a fix (not much help for now).
-
Are you running AC 2.5?

Yes we have the same where people just film productions, Sports Days on phone and put straight on facebook etc and this would often include pupils that the school are not allowed to photograph. -

Similar to mike, but we use one camera but have invested in a decent canon video camera, decent video tripod with fluid head (manfrotto) and a canon mic £200 to pick up the sound. We have a dvd burner £400 and do the whole lot in windows movie maker and windows dvd maker for that professional finish ;-) Parents aren't expecting that it comes on blu ray with Dolby atmos as it's mostly for Grand Parents and people that couldn't make the play. -
I can only comment on my schools set up and our ISP may do something but when using meraki dhcp they don't need to use a proxy. Every other machine in the school does use a proxy. It maybe you need to pass on some info to your ISP to achieve this. Try it yourself and see if it works, I was surprised it did, but it does!

Hi, We have Meraki Wi-Fi and have set up a staff wi-fi that uses meraki dhcp and google authentication to sign them in specifying our domain as the only allowed domain. You can also use facebook sign in etc as well. https://meraki.cisco.com/blog/2013/09/secure-guest-access-in-3-steps/

We generally do the filming and burning ourselves. For an outside company to be involved you'd need to sell the DVD etc for about £15 each. Any parents etc that could help? -

Replacing Smart with Display Screens
atcoates replied to talksr's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
We use the Smart Notebook app so teachers have more freedom to teach as well. I suggested a similar setup with Miracast etc but they all wanted to keep the Smart solution. -
Replacing Smart with Display Screens
atcoates replied to talksr's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
If all else fails a really good clean of the screen and sensors can't hurt and has the mouse been replaced in the class as well?. The board may well be responding to something the mouse is doing (into grasping at straws territory here!) No flickering lights in the class etc? (shot in the dark;-) -

Yes the 4000 series can't be calibrated they are factory set. Issues we had initially with these were solved with direct usb cables not longer than 5 metres and higher quality hdmi leads (Neet ones from Amazon) again under 5 metres. Other than that nothing they just sit there and work and have done for over three years. All screens I have are run from PCs mostly with nvidia G210 or newer equivalents. With the screen dropout do you get that on HDMI 1-4? I'm not in any way questioning what you're saying just adding my experience. Doesn't sound like you've had much luck with yours!
