Hmm I updated Quicktime and now can play the videos which were recorded on the iPad no problem. It's just anything else which won't work now - not even trailers in the iTunes store?

Hmm - we can't do either. Youtube videos won't play on the iPad when it's mirroring (shows the airserver logo) - but maybe that's normal, if they simply play on the PC screen instead usually. However it doesn't do that either. Same goes for things recorded on the iPad. Very frustrating. Have been playing game on it and they seem to mirror fine.

Any recommendations? My PC runs wirelessly at the moment but the speed is really slow. I would like an adapter with a wifi extender built in as well though as the wireless signal to my phone etc in this part of the house is fairly poor as well. Not too bothered about the extra sockets some of them have though.

So just experimenting with airserver. The mirroring works fine - but it won't play any videos (either recorded on ipad or from Youtube as exampels) - the screen just goes black with the mouse cursor. Anyone know a fix for this? Thanks.

So I would like to put the daily lunch menu on the TV screens which we run on Xibo. It's a 3 week rotating menu. Does anyone know how to do that without manually changing it each day? Thanks.

Does anyone know of the settings? Have just been quoted £1:35 per 'brittle sticker' to security mark them, but we have a laser cutter and could simply engrave them with our details. However, don't want to get it wrong!!

Okay so I've decided on a Humax FreeSat+ box. Now I can't figure out which of the 5 to have. I can barely see any difference between them to be honest, aside from harddrive size. Humax's website doesn't offer a comparison tool which would be really handy. Does anyone know of the pro's / con's of any of them? Kind of between HB-1000s or HDR1000s but to be fair, that's simply because they are the two I click on first!!

Ah - we don't have an aerial on our house, so we would have to go with freesat - is that right?

I hadn't actually realised there is a difference between freesat/freeview/youview - never even heard of youview until this thread! Do they all have their pro's and cons? Just trying to compare channels available now.

So many choices! I think Humax seems to have the most votes though. Is anyone selling one, or seen any special offers before I dash out and buy at RRP?

Just had this emailed from eBuyer - £299.99 for private buyer. Digihome 49" LED Full HD Freeview TV - Televisions at Ebuyer Says 10/10 on Reevoo - but I just looked and that's for 2 reviewers haha.

Slightly off topic - but do you use these for student machines? Don't students 'acquire' them? We have to cable tie in our mice and keyboards - wireless would be lovely for cable management but not sure they would stay put.

Does anyone know the size harddrive in a Sky+ box? Just so I have an idea of how much space I'm likely to need?

So this month I think I will cancel Sky. I currently have TV, phone and fibre internet with them and it costs about £65 a month. We rarely watch TV, particularly 'live' TV. Have a Roku device and stream everything on Netflix, or the odd thing recorded on the Sky box (mainly storage hunters etc! I think most of those type of shows are freeview - well I hope so - must check!) So I want to ditch the TV packages altogether and switch our internet to BT as we have quite poor wireless signal with the Sky router and changing it out isn't an option with them. I would like to get a free-view box which is capable of recording TV though. Does anyone have any recommendations? I don't mind spending up to or about £100 but don't want anything ludicrously 'gadgety' or over the top.

That you can't just copy and paste a TTF file into the fonts folder from another machine - you have to be on that machine for it to install. (Or so it would appear from what I was doing this morning!)

So I have a couple of short video clips within a powerpoint on Xibo. They play find on the powerpoint on my PC, but are really jumpy and laggy on the tv screens. Anyone know a fix for this? Thanks!
