  1. restart every pc in the school! hehe
  2. Very true! I actually think that would be a more of a sensible solution, each country then gets the best of a local legislature and governance but also the best of a centrally mandated parliament which issues federal laws, executive etc. Each State then retains its 'character' while still be apart of the "United States of Great Britain"
  3. But can you have Federalisation with a constitutional monarchy? Before Scotland was devolved they look at Federalisation and concluded that devolution was better etc
  4. We find this when some primary school potentially 50 miles away installs it and all our devices stop working :@
  5. We built our own GANTT style, generated at run time page which gives overview using queries from MySQL, then a fully operational backend to add projects and child projects etc
  6. I also assume if Scotland goes independent, they can no longer use the NHS as its owned by the UK Government
  7. If you edit the value in the launcher.xml (SIMSPATH) to SIMSLoad - then it should work as you wish it to. (In theory you can put any link there, you can even link to IE and get people to put a password in before IE loads - its 100% flexible)
  8. Here is the release - SIMSLauncher.zip Contains SIMSLauncher.exe and launcher.xml - edit the XML to suit your preferences! XML Domain: put your domain (staff etc) School Name: put your school name Pulsar: put your path to Pulsar.exe Force User: put this to true to force the current logged in username to pre-fill the username box. Instructions Point your SIMS.net shortcut to the SIMSLauncher.exe Make sure the launcher.xml is in the same directory as SIMSLauncher.exe (You could put both of them in SYSVOL) Sign in with any AD credential (it does not have to match the current logged in user - this can be changed in the code if you want me to) If the credential is correct, it will launch the SIMSPATH value defined in the launcher.xml (There is no support for this file provided by us) https://www.dropbox.com/s/b9fio0vklgvh6fy/SIMSLauncher.zip?dl=0
  9. I never actually got this to work, you have to manually on the devices enroll them. The enrollment profile never damm works from configurator (in my experience)
  10. What platform are you using? IIS with Windows Authentication? Please be more specific!
  11. Its good! I love using it I can actually receive calls!
  12. Does your Fire Extinguisher catch fire like in IT Crowd?
  13. We made our own :3
  14. Tasker is really good, lots of people made some good Youtube videos implementing Android Wear and tasker to extend its functionality
  15. Profile Manager for you being an arse as per.
  16. RIPA is supposed to be authorised by the Secretary of State for the Home Department of Secretary of State for Justice along with these outlined in RIPA: (a)the Director-General of the Security Service; (b)the Chief of the Secret Intelligence Service; ©the Director of GCHQ; (d)the Director General of the [F1Serious Organised Crime Agency]F1 ; [F2(da)the Director General of the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency;] F2(e)the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis; (f)the Chief Constable of the Royal Ulster Constabulary; (g)the chief constable of any police force maintained under or by virtue of section 1 of the Police (Scotland) Act 1967; (h) the Commissioners for Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs; (i)the Chief of Defence Intelligence;
  17. Here is the bill if nobody has seen it: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-data-retention-and-investigatory-powers-bill
  18. Remember though, this isnt the physical content of the communication its the metadata from the communication (date, time, location etc) Perhaps there is something be said for the way this has been rushed through, but if our very fragmented constitution allows for emergency legislation, then all you can do is contact your local MP and find out what he is voting and try and sway his opinion, but with all 3 major political parties behind this, I am sure their minds are already made up. This is how our country is ran and we just have to accept that. Also a central database of all our web history is just stupid, because they will give the contract to an outsourced company, if they did it in house (We pay our taxes for the Government Digital Service the people behind GOV.UK) it would be a step in the right direction.
  19. No firewall is disabled across the network
  20. I popped the servers into the hosts file, and it refused to return them, so its like skipping the hosts file which is bizzare! I did ipconfig /displaydns and the entries in the hosts file show there, so I have no idea! No not using DirectAccess.
  21. Got a couple of machines, gone a bit mad: Can ping IP of DC Cannot ping hostname of DC Cannot do nslookup of anything Cannot even browse the internet on them (IE - proxy server is not responding) And because it cannot resolve the DC hostname, it isn't getting Group Policy updates etc. What is even weirder: Can connect via SMB to the DC using its hostname, and authenticate... What is going on?! Could it be the NIC of the machines?
  22. Or just: Select your overall form Change ControlBox to false All the UI on the top disappears.
  23. The SIMS Launcher platform: 1. Joe Bloggs comes along and logs into the computer using their AD Credentials 2. Joe Bloggs is a teacher, so he has SIMS installed. (Little Johnny is also in Joe Blogg's class and is a pain) Just trustedauto 3. Little Johnny loads up SIMS on Joe Blogg's PC and has access to everything while Mr Bloggs is outside talking to a student. SIMS Launcher 3. Joe Bloggs must type in their AD Password to launch SIMS.net Security How on earth can it be a man in the middle attack, if you are adding security layers... The launcher program: - Authenticates password using built in .NET libraries where the password is not exposed to anyone If correct - launch the Pulsar process ; if incorrect, display error.
  24. She could do. Article 57 of the Spanish Constitution states: "Those persons with a right to succession to the Throne who marry against the express prohibition of the King and the Cortes Generales, shall be excluded from succession to the Crown, as shall their descendants." "In order to exercise the Regency, it is necessary to be Spanish and legally of age." Nothing really in it about Religion, I suppose the one saying "be spanish" sort of would block it.
  25. Subnet masks would be good, even if its just one number off it aint workin'
