Updating the school IT equipment inventory. Get them going around checking make, model & serial of devices is accurate.

Good point. It would be nice to go away with it fully charged.

I had a Medion / Tevion 3 or 4Mb camera about ten years ago. The on-screen display wasn't the best but the picture quality was outstanding.

I can't figure out what its supposed to read, or is it just your initials?

Get London Reading: Nook Simple Touch e-reader now £29

I ordered from Sainsburys on Thursday and it came into my local store by Saturday morning. A colleague ordered Tuesday and it came in yesterday. Argos sold out instantly and were supposed to be getting more stock in last Tuesday, but haven't. -
This is by far the best link I've ever clicked....no jokes.

The rubber band paint can one doesn't work. When you've finished and try to take the band off it flicks paint everywhere! -
I had this once. The listing was identical but the item location was changed from London to Hong Kong.

I think the very latest episodes (US broadcast) are pretty good. They've changed direction somewhat, possibly from taking ideas from Family Guy, American Dad and Cleveland Show. I really enjoyed last weeks "Breaking Bad" opener:

I do the same with the app Maverick. You get the choice of any kind of map on there, not just Google. Really good for OS maps.

What's the HP part number on the GBICs? -
My daughter goes to a private school and the hours are shorter and holidays longer - she had at least 3 and a half weeks off at Easter. But results are outstanding, so its not always a case of needing more time to teach. But the six week holiday is a very outdated principle, wasn't it historically to allow kids to help with the harvest?

what challenges do you face when you starting a new school

You'll get a lot of " used to do this for me, or let me do this" . And +1 to the documentation. It'll either be missing or out of date! -
Surely SIMS should be on more powerful servers with newer OSes than those mentioned on here? The SQL upgrade a couple of years back was an ideal time to get your finance departments to fund new servers and do a bit of futureproofing.

Rolf Harris questioned in Yewtree sex offence probe
Gibbo replied to Grey-gear's topic in General Chat
He's done well so far. He's been interviewed on more than one occasion and this hasn't made the newspapers, raising questions about a media blackout. But its the double standards which bother me the most. When Saville was implicated ITV news couldn't wait to point score against the BBC and lead with it. But when Fred Talbot (of Richard and Judy outside weathermap dancing fame and lead weatherman on Granada News) was wanted for historical abuse allegations and subsequently went abroad, ITV went quiet. Same with the two Corrie actors (Frank Foster and Kevin Webster), nothing more than brief mentions. What will they do with Rolf? With ITV lead with "BBC Animal Hospital presenter Rolf Harris"? Will BBC counter with "ITV presenter from Rolfs Cartoon Time"? -
Out of interest, how long is the course and what are the hours its running?

Director of IT positions.........are they out there?
Gibbo replied to Kyle's topic in Educational IT Jobs
Ditto. Its more about flying a desk and meetings, but it involves a higher degree of working with management, whereas in the past in regular IT Manager jobs I've been kept in the dark. -

I've been with Virgin since they were Telewest, before that Cable & Wireless, then some other company before that. Never had a problem with the service. Only thing I don't like are the offers for new customers. Yes, I can have them too but I have to sign a new 18 month contract to get them. Oh, and the "superhub" but I read up on that beforehand and just use it in modem mode.

Your local council should have a Children’s Services Health and Safety Adviser and Children’s Services Health and Safety Service, you can get documents and templates from them. -
That's epicic.

I might be interested in the PCs. Don't really need the monitors though.

Have they given you details on why they think that? And, more importantly, will it make you change your current driving style?
