That's why people are so against this plan, its not a reduction in 10mph, more a reduction of 20 or 30mph, especially for the BMWs and Audis in BOLOC (Bleedin Outside Lane Owners Club)!

I've got Virgin internet and I use the Sky player on my Xbox a lot. No issues at all with quality or streaming.

I've been reading about this on another forum. Someone speculated that this is because a "cheaper" managed motorway system is about to be deployed to ease congestion, and the reduction of the speed limit is to reduce the risk of accidents. How true this is I don't know, I'm highly sceptical that they'd use a cheaper or different system than what's already in place on motorways already.

I'm a mod on the pug forums and there's a big increase in 3008 queries coming on - queries where the owners are not getting dealer satisfaction. The reviews seem mixed. Top Gear magazine said "Peugeot is back at its best. The 3008's a fine all-rounder and a family car you could want to own." yet only gave it 5/10. The thing with many Peugeots - 306, 307, 206, 407 is that the Mk1 models had bugs and issues that were only ironed out after being reported by the long term test driver guinea pigs (the customers). This feedback then goes back to Peugeot who sort them out in the facelift models, which is why the latest versions of the above models are great and the early models of their replacements - especially the 107, 207 & 308 - are terrible. The early 107s suffer with gearbox and boot leak issues. There's a nasty problem on early petrol 207s where coolant leaks into the wiring loom and runs straight into the car's ECU. Yep, check the link I posted, about £6 from Ebay. However, I would trawl the scrapyards and get a genuine Peugeot one. They have a built in anti-slip mat. You should be able to pick one up easily enough as the bog standard 307s - "Rapier" & "S" had a single stereo, either a radio cassette or radio & single CD.

As a Pug 307 owner I've found a great setup is the Sony BT range of stereos. I'm using a Sony BT3700 at the moment, bought second hand from Ebay for just £40. You get Bluetooth music streaming, full hands free phone support (great quality too), as well as MP3 CD, USB and line in. The factory fit speakers are pretty good, but I've changed mine for JBL ones in the past. Pick up a CONNECTS2 cable from Ebay for £19 and that will allow you to use the steering column stalk. All you need are the right keys to take out the factory fit stereo. If you have the CD changer underneath or the storage cubby hole take those out first to give you more room to work. If you have the 5 CD changer and it works perfectly then it could be worth upto £80 to those Pug owners who like to keep their cars original. We've had it running here. Nice turkey dinner but the dessert cake was cold - it had been chilled in the fridge - and the custard was lukewarm. Not a nice combination.

I was chatting earlier to a guy with a Megane and starting issues (I often get Renault questions thrown at me because "Its French and you know about Peugeots and Citroens") He called out the AA. The AA man peered into the engine, said it was probably the starter motor, but couldn't see it and didn't know where it was.

As a PT Pug mechanic I'd say to get it checked out at the dealer. However, if they fob you off with "no fault found" as they usually do because they hook up the diagnostics and if there are no fault codes can't be bothered spending time looking into the problem, then I maintain a network of Peugeot only diagnostics specialists. Yes, we stumbled across the "porno bush" as kids but the content was nothing like that which can be obtained on the internet, or like Page 3. Mobile phone companies block porn on their 3G connections (Well, Orange does), and there's no outrage there.

Statement from the academy: I've seen it in the past where a school has used a L3 TA or HLTA with aspirations or is on the path to obtaining QTS (they might have a placement arranged on a GTP or PGCE course) because I've done it myself for a few months. I was a qualified L3 TA with a confirmed place on the GTP and a guaranteed 2:1 honours degree to be bestowed on me within a few months.
