  1. You get the invite by engaging with their regional representatives at the first instance is my understanding.
  2. So the basic register isn't fine?
  3. I believe it's awarded for 3 years, I don't know how it's renewed.
  4. It's not really fine at all - what if a student has a pre-populated code for absence such as T - this gives the game away on them being a traveller or even M giving the game away they're out for medical reasons.
  5. I *think* they're flexible if you have a high ratio of devices to students that could be close but if you're nowhere close then my understanding (this is from a year or two ago and may be wrong) is that you've no chance.
  6. Are you 1:1 with Apple devices? If not that's your first step. Then ask your educational Apple re-seller to put you in contact with your Apple regional sales manager.
  7. We’ve experience of such students moving up to secondary without the necessary learning and skills. Some of our examples were working with the caretaker fixing bikes. Students go to school to be taught by qualified teachers you want no part of this unless you have QTS.
  8. Clever won't allow anyone covered by GDPR to use their product. Wonde have a similar offering though.
  9. Is this during the school day or after the school day?
  10. If you install a CA on a DC and you ever need to demote it to replace it etc. you have made the job more complicated as you will need to move the CA first. Virtualisation allows for separation of roles - it's best practice for a reason.
  11. Out of interest why don't jailbroken devices work - is this something you've made a decision to block and if so how/why? Thanks!
  12. So this post here: was sarcastic?
  13. You're aware the name of this site is EDUgeek aren't you?!
  14. Absolutely it's their problem not yours, however their decision not to update to a newer OS when their existing one stops getting security updates wouldn't be seen as reasonable. If they suffered a data breach this would be considered as an aggravating factor. I'm also assuming you have all this in writing from SLT?
  15. That isn't what the legal term "reasonable" means.
  16. Yes it would - you must take all reasonable steps to ensure data security.
  17. I'd never recommend the Inspiron line - they aren't very well built or robust. The Latitude line is much more suitable.
  18. The Data Protection Act???
  19. That's up to you but if you're going to rely on someone else then they're probably not going to chase as often or enthusiastically as you are.
  20. So did you go back to them and say it didn't help so they could escalate it further?
  21. Have you logged this with Ubiquiti's support?
  22. Ok how are they mounted? Is it possible they could be overheating?
  23. Bromcom are cheaper than SIMS...
  24. Since it seems to be when they're being pushed is your switch able to supply the max power drawer they quote for the Nano HDs? Given the price of Unifi switching it has to be worth trying doesn't it? They're so cheap!
  25. So email from O365 to O365 works but email from G Suite to O365 doesn't? Does G Suite to other external domains work? Eg. can you email an account that isn't hosted by either G Suite or O365? Have you correctly setup SPF, DKIM, DMARC etc to reflect the changes you have made now in moving to G Suite as these emails could potentially now be flagged as spam to be rejected etc?
