    Unlike other versions of Windows, 11 requires hardware changes, so it'll be until when hardware refreshes and most PCs are able to take 11.

    It's look tricky or something. I can't find a straight forward filter online. People are using version numbers but are concerned about future collisions?

    it's in! drivers are a pain it runs poorly and the RM Certificate isn't working! edit: btw I didn't force it, just booted the win11 media and it went right through.

    I have 15 HP 610 G1 pro tablets, 64bit, quad core, 4gb and TPM 2.0 this'll be good. They still run Windows 8.1 as windows 10 made them choppy and unusable, if 11 goes one I expect worse

    I've selected a gen 2 machine and enabled TPM but it still doesn't install... (don't meet minimums) what else do I configure?

    @Gongalong The lag with a laptop is higher than with the built in PC. Using M$ paint as a test, with the built in Windows PC it was nearly flawless, using the external laptop at 4k60hz using the USBC cable, the "ink" was about an inch behind where I was drawing at speed. Not terrible but clearly worse than the built in Windows PC and the built in Android whiteboard.

    just as an fyi the usbc port does carry picture and interactive but doesn't charge the laptop. it did work at 4k60 just fine but the usbc cable is only 1.5m. I couldn't get any HDMI cable to work 100% with the board. I'll raise the issue with the rep when they come Friday. Also disappointing is that the latency of the input is much worse than the built in PC. but this isn't the place for a review. EDIT: My usbc cable, no usbc cable was supplied. (I borrowed it from a HP docking monitor)

    VNCs issue is the host may not be aware when the client is dialling in, so they might see confidential documents. They can dial in when a lesson isn't running.

    I leave PXE available, I have the bios to only pxe boot on a wol. even so if a pupil gets to the PXE menu and picks an image they need an admin password to actually install it. They could breakout using alt-f10 but that hasn't happened yet.

    @Gongalong I've just got a loaner unit from Promethean a Nickel.... The supplied cable wont show a picture reliably. I have an IRIS XE laptop that can drive at 4k60 this was the issue. Our older laptops can only drive at 4k30 and the cable works 100%... AGAIN the supplied Promethean cable didn't work! lol! I don't have any spare optical cables at the moment I spotted a usbc on the back I'll try that. I don't find the board very responsive with external devices anyway.

    yes, it is used for SDS sync for Teams, also class charts, bedrock, basically anything synced using wonde.

    The session has timed out but it hasn't prompted you to log in again. Giving a silly error doesn't help.

    yes, I do this instead of the lottery. The lotto was £2 a week so a year is approx £200.. Bam.. my 200 is worth £850 right now. but I'll let it ride.

    I have the Newline RS+ the touch feature is bearable but the writing is too slow when using a pen.

    Our school is about to go from 80/20 (which is 64/16 in reality) to FTTP at 1000/220 using ultrafast.... now I feel a little deflated.

    I think this is a left over from when we had a hybrid exchange setup. I think this should have been deleted, any reason I shouldn't get rid of it?

    I opened a Binance account a while ago just for fun and got some Doge coin for laughs. it went up then down and stayed there. ooh well.. I bought £200 of Shiba Coin as it was the hot new meme coin and it immediately lost half it value oh well... Today the blooming thing is worth £550! some silly part of me won't cash out as I get the greedy fix... Anyone on here actually know what they're doing with crypto?

    we upgraded to SSDs (not ASUS boards) we didn't have a bracket for the SSD and wedged them in the case. it turns out that the sata connectors had ever so slight wire exposure and was shorting on the case. We wedged them more carefully after that or double tape when we found some.
