Just re-writing/amending my development plan. Could anyone enlighten me as to what we (Secondary Schools) are obliged to have in place over the next few years, i.e. parent access to SIMS etc. If anyone has a time line of projects that need to be addressed. I would hugely appreciate it. Many thanks

I've just done this and it seems to of worked. But I receive a message informing me that it can't be upgraded, etc!!!

No, the N drive is the mapped drive for the user. I don't know why it's asking for that?

It's just the domain administrator account. We have a couple of domain accounts with full domain privileges and they work fine, it's just this one.

I am trying to load SIMS.net on a 2008 64 bit terminal server and receive the following error: SIMS installer was unable to open the N:\WINDOWS\sims.ini file I have never been asked this before. Anyone seen this before?

When I log on to Server 2008 (Terminal server) as my username, everything is OK. Now when I log on as domain administrator, I get truncated file names. Attached is an example of what I mean. Many thanks

We don't have bells and it's a nightmare! We have kids out of lessons too early, skulking round corners, in the playground looking through windows - it's really bad. Not having a bell system only works if all the teachers have their watches synchronised! It all depends on what time the teachers watch says. I'm sure some of them have them 10 minutes fast on purpose. It will only work in a school which is managed well!

Just put it in now and its rebuilding. I suppose I'm glad before it dies as it would of nagged me all weekend (has it or hasn't it) Cheers

My HP Proliant is informing me of a predictive hard drive failure (flashing amber light). I have a spare hard drive for this, should I wait until it stays on completely and fails or should I just unplug it (hotswap) and put the new one in. If I do unplug it, do I need to do anything in the RAID. When the drives usually go, I just swap out without doing anything else. I have a RAID 6 by the way

That man Simon from CPLTD has done it again. Of all the suppliers I have ever dealt with (11 years now) I can honestly say he and CPLTD are the guys I have enjoyed dealing with the most. I asked them for some Ruckus kit, and they did not disappoint, brilliant. Anyone upgrade their 2003 domain servers to 2008 by just upgrading rather than a clean install. If so, how did it go?

Hi, When I log on to my citrix server I can set the server into install mode etc. But when I log on as domain admin, I can't do it, I don't have the rights apparently. Also, when I log on as anyone other than local machine, I get the 'are you sure you want to run this app' etc. Is this a policy setting?

Ric. I have done what the website link instructs and confirmed this by Citrix documentation. But I am still getting the 'ag.citrix' certificate, where does this issue from because I can't see this on the Xenapp server

We have recently installed Xenapp 5.0 along with Acess Gateway. We have installed the usual apps we would like to roll out, but how do we distribute them to the end user, we must be doing something wrong. Our network is a 2003 and the citrix servers are 2008. We can get the apps for the remote (Access Gateway users) but not for the local network users. I have attached a screengrab of our management console. Hope you can help.

The certificate I received was just a text file with lines of gobbledegook, so how do I insert this into my servers and clients, I thought I needed a pfx file. Sorry to be so naive. Thanks
