Thanks for your reply I've changed the port number from 1234 back to standard 443 and it works fine so I'm guessing something is broken with port redirection in proxy.pac's at present. Annoying but not a show stopper... If anyone else knows if this does work can you let me know Cheers Andrwe

OK so I'm having a senior moment. I'm trying to add a new internal site to my proxy.pac file using this formula and it's not working if ( shExpMatch(url, "https://my.internal.site:1234/*")) { return "DIRECT"; } and this isn't working either if (dnsDomainIs(host, "my.internal.site")) { return "DIRECT"; } Could someone tell me what ridiculously simple thing I've done wrong? Firstly an apology, I've been a tadge busy recently and lost track of this for a couple of weeks... Anyway, the good news is that I have just been up to the Greyfisher and confirmed the table for 12/14 people for 2ish (but can be earlier) on the 21st December. I didn't have to leave any deposit or my first born for the table as I've booked it under the school name. I need to confirm numbers with them by Monday 19th December. So to confirm, free secure parking is available on-site here for the duration of the meeting and my office will be open for pre-lunch drinks, eduhobnobs etc. The Greyfisher is a 5 minute walk from our carpark. Hi Witch We've got a Hitachi UST projector in the drama studio that we managed to get a 2.6m wide throw on by going to the very last turn of the thread on the wall mount. However, I wouldn't recommend using a pull down screen as even the slightest movement or misalignment will magnify and look horrible. We project onto a painted white wall as the kids use to it to project backgrounds and then act in front of them for drama classes etc Andrew

I enjoyed it. It's an hour of good old fashioned leave your brain on a hook as you enter entertainment. I agree with Sted in that I thought the killing the celebrities was their way of ending that segment for good and the new track looks good (although the American will need to grow on me, don't know why Ben Collins couldn't have had the job...) but we have to remember that although we in the UK are used to them this series on Amazon will be exposing them to millions of new viewers worldwide so they effectively had to press the Doctor Who reset button and start again. Give it a few weeks and it should be fully up and running...

In 2000 I was using Netware 5 and Zenworks which to this day is still IMHO the best workstation management tool ever written...

July 2003 here, way before my time. Really should have been reformatted and started again when I joined in 2009 as it was in a bad way but the fixes I had to make on day 1 appear to have held for the past 8 years...

OK so I'm being a bit of a numpty this morning. I've just added a location to Flash Player trusted locations via the control panel on my PC. Just gone to pick up the changes to send to all PC's in the school and I can't for the life of me see where it's written it to. Can't find it in the registry and the mms.cfg in C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash doesn't have it in either. Can someone put an old clearly confused geek out of their misery and share the secret? Hi all Been asked to look at parent portals to sit on our SIMS system and it looks like it comes down to either SLG or TASC. I appreciate this is a bit of a Marmite question but if you were starting from scratch now, which of the above would you choose and why, or is there a third I should consider? For us the tablet module in SLG is a big plus but I hear many more good things about Insight. Fire away... Thanks Andrew

I've seen this on the newer boards (the ones that don't need pens) when there has been dirt on the sensor that runs round the board. I've also seen one where the voltage from the USB port on the PC was fluctuating, fixed that one by using a powered USB hub. Finally what version of the starboard software are you using? 9.71 fixes a lot of bugs....
