  1. Are you able to access the Admin$ share on the workstation? PDQ needs File and printer sharing installed for distributions to work. Also check the following are allowed in the workstation firewall. Allow inbound file and printer sharing exception Allow ICMP exceptions (Inbound Echo Request is needed)
  2. DelProf2.exe /id:account_id /p This should do it, the /p isn't necessary but gives you the chance to quit before it deletes the profile just incase...
  3. Reading the old series of books by John Holgate called Make a cow laugh, a sheep's eye view and on a pigs back. Written in the late 70's and based in the 50/60s it's about a family who quit London and buy a Yorkshire farm. As a farmers son myself it's well written and brings back a lot of funny and sad memories as they struggle with machinery, livestock, crops and weather...

18 degree? My 13 wood has a 34 degree loft!!! I have a back problem that means I can't hit irons flat out so I carry 8 woods, 1,2,3,5,7,9,11 & 13. Best decision I ever made, much easier to use although I get a few odd looks when I pull out a wood on a 130yd par 3 but then I also play right putt left so I'm used to odd looks on the course
  5. The Christmas market finishes on the 18th, can't believe it finishes that early this year!!! Salisbury Christmas Market - Home
  6. So Wednesday 21st December it is, aim to meet here at 1pm with a table booked for 2pm to allow for trains and traffic? If you can let me have a provisional yes/no I can gauge numbers and book a table. Is everyone happy with the Greyfisher? It's out of the crush of the town centre, cheap and usually cheerful food but only 5 mins walk from here. After lunch, we can always go back via the cathedral and XMas market for those who want a bit of culture in their day...
  7. Greyfisher Pub Restaurant in Salisbury | Hungry Horse Big plate meals, nice and cheap, about 5 mins walk from carpark https://www.nandos.co.uk/eat/restaurants/salisbury It's Nando's but it's fairly new with lots of seats The Cloisters Menu - The Cloisters Salisbury - The Cloisters Salisbury Cloisters pub, very old with low wooden ceilings, good lunchtime menu Prezzo Salisbury Prezzo, would have to book way in advance for that one though Several other good pubs resturants nearby as well as these
  8. Sorry bit behind as been off-site all afternoon. With regards to parking I have the keys to the school carpark and will open the gates so free parking for you all slap bang in the city centre rather than using the park and rides
  9. I can do either date and I'm good to host up here on either date if people want to come up here. If not, I can just as easily come down to the seaside for the day
  10. Exactly what Rich just said here as well. Rights were a bit of a pig to setup in the first place but now it's done with groups and we just clean down the drives and change membership each summer and it all automagically works
  11. Many years ago I was working as a civilian IT Manager at an army base. One unit wanted a ruggedized laptop so I got one in for them. The CO wasn't impressed and asked one of his team to test it so he took it outside, dropped it in a bucket of petrol and set fire to it. It survived. Still unimpressed the next thing I know it's been thrown on the floor and 5 minutes later a bloody great tank appeared and promptly ran over it twice. Still it booted with the screen intact. We purchased another 50 that afternoon.... God I miss that job
  12. Sorry to dig this one back up but has anyone actually managed to get their school verified? I've tried on our main account, 1200 followers, 3500 tweets etc and had the request denied despite sending every link I could think of and writing a nice letter in the 5000 character comment section... Anyone managed to find a winning combo? Andrew
  13. You might struggle at my place then. A) It's an old building with many steps and no lifts B) Parking is a nightmare, unless you have a blue badge you will need to leave your interplanetary cruiser in one of the out of town park and rides C) Anything higher than 42 foot falls foul of the Cathedral restrictions or the restricted air space from Boscombe Down air base or Old Sarum airport
  14. Just checked with the Bursar and I can offer free on-site parking in Salisbury on the 19th or 21st if that helps? I'm about 30 seconds walk from the city centre, the Christmas market will be on and there are loads of cafe/pubs/restaurants near-by etc. Mainline train direct from Exeter, Cardiff, Portsmouth, Southampton, Basingchoke and Waterloo, the station is about a 10 minute walk from the cathedral.
  15. Hey it's all good, the roadworks in Downton on the A338 have finally finished which means on a clear day you can make it from your place to here in under 3 hours I don't mind where we meet, I'm flexible, was only thinking that since the Beeching report it would have to be one or the other if people are coming down by train. Or Poole I suppose and head down to the quay and do the 13 pints in 13 pubs?
  16. I've just tweeted SW Trains to make sure there is no major engineering work on the Waterloo to Salisbury or Bournemouth lines over Christmas, the last thing you need is to arrive by replacement bus via the M3/M27...
  17. Well if we have "outsiders" crossing the cattle grids and coming down by train it's going to have to be either Bournemouth or Salisbury. I'm happy to host up here unless we all want to meet in the McDonalds in the Asda at Bournemouth station...
  18. I thought you were EduGeek royalty?? I'm in, lets sort some dates. I know it's a couple of months away but what about some time over the 2 week Christmas shutdown?
  19. Hi Tammie, you didn't miss a meeting. We are all either a) high flying socialites whose diaries were so full non of us could find a date b) we are all photophobic antisocial geeks and when it came to committing to a date we all got the fear... or c) they all met and didn't tell me either Either way, we really must get this sorted one day soon
  20. Another site fully covered by Unifi AP's here, just install and forget. Never had an issue with them (well obviously shortly after typing this and pressing send the karma gods will think of something but hey...) Andrew

Just playing 9 hole courses at the moment as my foot still isn't 100% after breaking it last year. Going round with one of our teachers as I'm giving him free lessons (he pays my green fees!!) and I've remodelled his swing and turned a wild slice into a nice power draw so he's happy. Was on a par 3 course last weekend where the last 3 holes are all over 200 yards and finished birdie, birdie, birdie for a gross score of 23 which won me a can of coke so really happy. I plan to winter on the short courses and then start full 18 hole courses again in the spring.
  22. Have downloaded Server 2016, SCCM 2016 and DPM 2016. Have got all my keys. Sitting on my hands trying to resist the urge to upgrade the lot (I won't of course, I'll do what I always do, sit back, let some other fool go first, wait for SP1 or R2 and then go ahead and upgrade the lot in the holidays, buy hey, it's a nice feeling having them...)
  23. OK firstly I know this is a real piece of string question, I'm more looking for ideas and market players than potentially a one stop solution. At present our MIS is SIMS, our finance runs on SCO and our room bookings is done on Room Booking System - Online Room Booking Software Many of our systems are done manually and the Bursar has asked me to investigate digitising the following systems (there is a budget available with quite a few zeros for this apparently, I must have missed that meeting!!) The processes we are looking at are:- Online Enrolments (For Year 7, Sixth Form and 11+ testing) A Parent portal front end to SIMS A facility for teachers to use SIMS natively on tablets (rather than RDP solutions) External Lettings and payments (preferably still using SCO as the back engine for payments) Parents evening bookings I very much doubt there is a one stop shop for all of that but I'd be grateful for recommendations etc in any of those fields especially if the integrate with others Many thanks Andrew PS - thankfully no-one has mentioned cashless catering yet!!!
  24. Have updated my 2015LTSB base image to 2016, apart from explorer constantly freezing until I managed to get the updates on it (used WSUSOffline in the end) and have run the latest version of UWT to turn off a few "features" all looks good.
  25. Mine has just appeared along with both MAK and KMS keys. Downloading now, playing with it on Monday....
