Hi Nigel, Have you read this thread on TechNet? Unable Save Office Files to Network One fix seems to be disabling SMB, however some problems are related to be 3rd Party software. Certainly seems like a good starting point however

Teachers Computer upgrade, advice needed please.
VeryPC_Tom_M replied to lionsl2005's topic in Hardware
I'd suggest using Windows 7 as well. At least then the interface for the teachers will be familiar, unlike the one in Windows 8. Depending on which version(s?) of Office you are running, you should be ready to field the "Where do I find 'x' on the Ribbon?" questions which inevitably crop up. -

Simple way to deploy custom Win 7 image using PXE and Clonezilla?
VeryPC_Tom_M replied to marsdenprimary's topic in Windows 7
Shouldn't be the case. I replaced our SP0 with SP1 images as soon as they became available. - I just had a random thought.. Had you installed AV to the Windows 7 PC before capturing the image???- 43 replies

Also make sure that you've not imported KB2533552 into MDT.. This was causing our MDT setup to throw it's rattle out for a while.. I ended up pulling it, and adding it as an app via batch file.- 43 replies

VeryPC_Tom_M replied to sonofsanta's topic in Windows Server 2008 R2
If you're using MPS 2010 or 2011, AFAIK, best practise is to install all drivers in Maintenance Mode rather than Normal Mode.. It's certainly what I recommend! -
