grab a chromebook of each login go to chrome://policy and find the setting thats different or restrictions applied. have you used google admin to install the printer? maybee not deployed to pupils?

its also worth hitting the unifi releases page and see if other users get the same issues on those firmwares. unifi is great but auto updates on the access points is one you learn to avoid! I usually test in our offices ap, if no issues upgrade all of our head office if no issues do one school, if no issues do a couple more, then do the lot

which range of unifi acess points? ive had issues with U6 aps on certain firmware. if your clients are starting to get dense make sure multicast and broadcast controll are off unless your dhcp servers are whitelisted. try tolling back the firmware a couple of versions untill you get stability for UAP AC PRO my go to firmware is: 6.5.62 if that helps, my few u6 are currently on the latest stable release without any issues?

We havent commited to the purchase yet but i got a quote back from a company that offered 30d contracts with stop/start as needed. All we needed to do was ring them with the what 3 words the school was in and it would instantly be available to use in that location. problem was more the hardware... 3k for the dish, 1k+ for the pelecan case with integrated mounts - were probably still ognna make a move on it later this year once we have time to do so

if ssl vpn is removed does this mean reverse proxy is broken? if i turn off ssl vpn, reverse proxy dies too (leeds) so this would be a pain if it was removed all together. Id had this looked at by engineers as id idealy wanted the vpn function off as its unused but they couldnt figure it out.

summer resets are a terrible idea, happy september when half of them have forgot the newpassword theyve set 10 minutes after setting it, just enable annual password changes in policy or better yet dont, its bad practice - if auditors are recomending it kick back the official microsoft security paper saying not to do it as it leads to OldPasswordn+1 just enforce sufficient complexity in the password policy and if possible force a change if current passwords dont meet the standard

fair, but this sounds like they just want to provide internet to the vlan so its no more of a performance impact on the smoothwall as in either config its going through it

the easiest way is to use your smoothwall as the router. setup another port on the smoothwall and connect it to a port with that vlan configured on it or setup the new interface with vlans on it, probably a guide on the kb for it - then the smoothwall will do all the donkey work/sets up the routes. you could also reconfigure the port you currently use to have the vlans on it but its a bit of a chore if things go wrong.
