  1. Right. Found the manual ( I hope they did not pay much more than £18 a unit...) Press mode until you get to "Soud" play some music and check the lamp responds. go back through the menu to A001, press + to get to A002 and then - to go back to A001 ( not sure if it matters but I had trouble from memory the first time I tried). Try with one lamp at a time, then with one working add the next one in series. They should all be on A001, and will all output the same. As I say, press Manual RGB on the controller. The units most probably are RGBW, (Red,Green,Blue, White) Which is 4ch so you will not be able to get pure white. TT
  2. Ok all lamps will need to be on A001 ( or perhaps A000?) The controller has no selectable DMX output address and outputs on channels 1,2,3 If you plug the lamps in and press "MANUAL RGB" on the desk you should get some output. From memory appart from A.../D... the lamps also have a standard sound to light program Pxxx to work independently TT
  3. If you can scan the lamp manual just in case that would help. TT
  4. I have spent £16K in 11 years on running 2 vehicles. For a good portion of that 1 has been a large people carrier and the other a performance executive of some sort. Although I am more than capable of doing anything maintenance wise, virtually all work has been left to the garage. And I would rather put my money into property. Get my mortgage paid off. £200 a month extra off a mortgage will significantly reduce the interest paid. TT
  5. Ahh we have one of them. Not sure where the manual is though. Will have a look for it. TT
  6. We used the door access system. NET2 But tread very very carefully as teaching unions will likly not be happy at all.
  7. So for our clio owner, get an oil service and run it till the cam belt fails. Probably get a couple of years for 200 input. At which point you saved 4k+ My Jag cost 850 (4.0 V8 S-type) a year ago. It managed 8 months before a catostrophic engine failure. But i have an engine to go in... even so luxury performance motoring for £100 a month up to the... and it will reduce in cost when back in service. To tide me over i bought a 2000 1.8 Zetec focus for 300. A window winder, caliper and rear hub cost £65 thats since october. Going well now and MOT to may so hopefully get 7 months for under £400, and have something to sell in the end. TT
  8. My home system is a little Zycoo box running a stripped down asterisk. It has two SIP lines to sipgate and an analouge line. I use re-cycled Mitel 5220 dual mode phones, and zoiper on mobiles. TT
  9. Whats the model of lamp? Whats the model of the controller? How many lamps? Do you want all lamps to do the same thing or act individualy? I guess they are RGBW Parcans? DMX is simple. Manufacturers instructions are generally incomprehensible on cheap stuff so you have to read between the lines (if there are more than 2)
  10. If its only worth 600, just have a basic oil and filters service. Doing a full major service is a waste of money. Realisticly, a basic service and cambelt should be under 200. Other mot items probably cheep too, will probably solider on for many years. And save you a packet! TT
  11. None are cheap to run though. The cheaper the printer the more it generally costs to run. I had to chuck a £15 colour cartridge that would not print (low use) despite showing half full. I keep an old LaserJet 1020 for general B/W printing. I can pick up carts for £5 and they last hundreds of pages unlike the InkJet that's black cart lasts ~100 and costs £15. TT
  12. assign e=g SUBST e: G:\
  13. does "assign" or "subst" not work anymore in CMD? so long since I have used them. TT
  14. Done that... Personally I have had 6/8 Cylinder engines for a large portion of my driving life. Mostly RWD or 4x4. The FWD Volvo was quick but you could not use it as eaisly as the RWD cars. TT
  15. So DHCP is commin from the switch, not a server. Do you have a management network for the switchws? What brand of switches.. Time? if it's all relativly correct so far, 2-3 mins of work on most common switch OS's TT
  16. "New Castle" name ??? not given us much to go on, are you running on a new IP, Update DNS, Certificates OK? TT
  17. I have IRF across our two 5700, very simple compared to anything else.
  18. We did going back 15+ years... basic setup in webmin. Then used squidguard via custom php/sql for user and rule management. Was r retired in 2010 with a new build.
  19. Just be sure if you open a H2B ISA that you have never owned property before. Conveyancing on a H2B has to be done by a solicitor registered to do the conveyancing but it should not be more costly. They should handle the funds transfer at the point of completion as long as all the criterion have been meet... I should be able to remember a lot more about them as I sat in a product launch planning meeting less than 3 weeks ago. But my mind was on the Buffet. TT
  20. Although I am a strong Linux Fan, and have used Ubu for 6 years.. I don't think there will be enough of a market. TT
  21. I project managed an install of UPS/Genset but that was in 1994 . We had one at my second place UPS/Genset combo. Thing never started when it was supposed to despite us testing manual start every weekend. And it blew up the phone system that was not on the UPS. My current place we have UPS/Genset . So far in 26 months in the new building it has only run the Genset in anger once. On power failure the server room, customer services and IT support all get supported by UPS within 5 seconds the genorator is running and stable and supplying the rest of the office ( ~300 People ). When this occured for real the whole area off town was off but we were running happily for 2hrs till the mains came back on. We could have lasted indefinitely on the generator, even the fast boilers worked for coffee. There are many many companies that can do an install. TT
  22. Oooh A Lotus carlton, forgot that one. And an NSU RO80. Never got far on Sega Rally on the Saturn... Loved that console. TT
  23. Best of luck, it will easily do most if not all of what you need for zero cost but a hill of effort. We should learn to use computers not learn or teach microsoft. TT
  24. I have the remains of 2 live register door access scanners in my garage somewhere. Is Mike Hitchin (My Kitchen) still involved / Cyclone? Standing in the rain twisting my thumb back and forth is the reason i avoid biometrics . For our newbuilds we had Easytrace. With myfair cards that were ID, printing, doors, library, catering..
