Check boot images/ os images are all on the distribution points. Make sure pxeboot files are deployed to a pxe enabled distribution point ( this is in the properties in 2012 and caught me out when I deleted the inbuilt pxe images) Make sure inknown computer support is enabled Make sure your collections are correct Delete all advertisements ( deployment? In 2012? ) Then Readvertise/deploy task sequence to the inknown and system collections of your choice. make sure the task sequence is available to media and pxeboot (not hidden) Never tested it but maybe this last option when selected allows you to boot in pxe but won't show the task sequence?

Are they the 2nd time the machines have been deployed? If so 1st time you probably had them advertised to unknown computers. Once they have been deployed to you then need advertise (deploy) to a collection that the machine is in.

Started our deployment of 134 pc's. We image machines before deploying to desk. A little bit more time consuming but allows us to test before we deploy them. And any issues with the image only effect a small number of people and can iron them out pretty quickly.

Also make sure you have more than 1 cpu core assigned to the vm

We're having a nightmare with our utouch screens, we have over 40 of them and are having issues with them honouring their warranties on faulty screens. They've had 1 unit for over 3 months for repair, Anyone else have utouch screens and having similar issues? Sadly we were early adopters of lcd panels with our new building and thankfully purchased them with 5 years warranty, just wish their support was worth it! Can't see us buying utouch again.

I would go Ssd or hybrid any day for 1 gen difference. Have a look at some cpu benchmark tables. Compare what cpu you have now in staff laptops to the 4th/5th gens you are speccing. Will they notice the difference? Now compare hard drive performance on your old kit to the hard drive performance of the std hdd and hybrid hdd in the new kit. Will they really see benefit from. New standard hard drive compared to the hybrid where they see a massive gain.

Asana? We use it within our team for maintenance, tracking anything within the team that isn't a support ticket or anything that needs to be escalated and scheduled. Then use instagantt/asana for larger projects. Oh and Weekdone'to report what tasks have been completed with in the team each week using its asana intergration

Ours are pretty good. all sorts of distribution groups. all staff, academic (teaching only support staff tend to opt-in to this 1), Tutors7-11, SLT, Finance, cover, Letters only thing that annoys me is when they email it support (not a true Distribution group i suppose) and CC me or another member of the team......what they don't realise is that these emails also go to the Principal and our link SLT. So they also get to laugh at some of their requests with us!

Guy brought multiple wrong units with him (version 2 I guess with a webcam in) but requires power brick and mounts onto a VESA , still on going now. We also had issues with the integration service talking to parent pay. This support ticket quickly got raised to developer level, after 1month an term fast approaching it took a call to their MD to get the guy who originally installed it to investigate the issues. Sadly as the issue fell into the new term it started to cause issues with payments and is still causing us a little grief which parent pay are now dragging their heals on!
