  1. From what I’ve heard, it’s great for producing reports, however for actual day-to-day data input etc it is laborious and not user friendly. The support isn’t that great either. I know of a school that has migrated back to sims from arbor after just one year
  2. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.theverge.com/platform/amp/2017/12/2/16727112/iphone-crash-bug-december-2nd-2017 I had this going on last night and can confirm the 11.2 released this morning does indeed fix the issue.
  3. Why so long? The timeline should've been shorter. Only to shame lazy developers if not anything else.
  4. I'm not 100% but when it the iPad I question was initially supervised by a MacBook, if this option was not enabled in configurator, then the only way round it is to put it in recovery mode and resupervise.
  5. Why 4.5? Everything runs ok on 4.6.1
  6. We've also had trouble wth 4.7 and smart software. Removing does the trick. Will have to check on the solus3.
  7. On the contrary. I've had a terrible experience with them. They repeatedly failed to set up my DD correctly, each time stopping my service without warning when they failed to take any money.
  8. The retailer/reseller has legal obligations are mentioned at the site above. Don't budge and push them, you have consumer rights.
  9. Latest version works! Mostly.
  10. If you really wanted to do this, you could assign managed licences to their apple ids by inviting them to meraki. Seems a bit messy to me.
  11. Except that you can't convert from managed licences back to redeemable codes. Wouldn't you want to reclaim the licences back for other students?
  12. That was the fulfilment program which didn't qualify older devices for the apps which were paid apps. Now that they're free, they can be installed on older iOS devices also.
  13. Locked in AKA Monolith Frustratingly bad movie but the premise is different (which is all it has going for it) A dim-witted, quick tempered mother manages to get herself into a right mess with a futuristic car. It's hard to imagine somebody being that careless.
  14. Are you using item level targeting for the office printer? So you can target her or her machine.
  15. Could be something to do with an update: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/030ee94a-047d-460a-bc39-52351a199364/kb3163912-breaks-point-and-print-restrictions-gpo-settings?forum=winserverGP
  16. @bossman Yeh, you've made some valid points there. I hadn't given the aftercare a thought. I will have to sort out the conditions of contract/job before I proceed. Personally I'd rather walk away after doing the job but let's face it, that's not going to happen!! [emoji20]
  17. The job is for a relative of a friend who had a small business. I do consider this an opportunity to promote myself so I do intend to undercut and quotes they may have gotten elsewhere. I don't know what they've been quoted yet but I'm confident I can beat most quotes.
  18. Thanks for all the replies you guys. I'll decide what to do when I find out what's involved. Keep the suggestions rolling in by all means.
  19. Morning all, Does anybody know the market rate for a server build? I have the opportunity to make a little bit of cash but no idea how much to charge. I don't have all the details yet, so I don't know if I'll be setting up a new DC or a member server and what roles this server will perform. The user base is about 20ppl. Any rough ideas would be helpful. Thanks
  20. I had problems installing Movie Maker on Windows 10 due to it moaning about dot net 3.5 installation.
  21. I'd start off with a just a few clients and see how it goes. If you're having issues with just a few clients it may not be down to overloading. If it works well with a few, keep adding clients until you notice some degradation.
  22. There may or may not be a similar setting in meraki also.
  23. When you supervise the devices, you have to select the bit that says "allow pairing with other devices" - this is your issue.
  24. I was told by virgin this was not possible. Just another reason I'm glad I moved from them.
  25. I think you can do this with powershell or use WMI functionality within a VBscript. I'll see if I can dig out an example.
