  1. I'm pretty sure with the Net2 system you can only unlock on a schedule so you are going to have to schedule each door to be locked or unlocked at the relevant times? Unless you've found another way to achieve the hold open? This can be done by a key switch. Seems a very overkill solution to have readers both sides of a classroom. I'd be interested to know the reasoning behind it. If it's to control behaviour then you'll just end up with smashed green emergency exit buttons every day.
  2. They are Clevo chassis from memory.
  3. We had the screw problem too. Stone regularly came out to repair where chassis wouldn’t tighten.
  4. Anyone costs you can share and how easy is it to switch?
  5. I’d use a proper mailing list system and let the parents group leader manage membership to it. Plus, it will mean parents can unsubscribe themselves.
  6. But there is an issue, I believe, whereby if two parents cannot see each others contact details (lets say for legal reasons) then this app doesn’t support that rendering it totally useless in that situation.
  7. In Office 365 is it possible to create a shared calendar that users outside of the organisation can modify? If so, what is the process to do this?
  8. I’d be interested too.
  9. Indeed that may be the case but in terms of what it offers, particularly in terms of reporting/mail merge functionality etc, I don't think there is anything else out there as comprehensive. That is what I was meaning.
  10. Without the headteacher knowing? I thought they would be in the loop if that was happening and doesn’t due diligence occur after the point at which it has been announced, consultation begun etc? I could be wrong. Keep us updated. This sounds bizarre on many levels.
  11. Unfortunately, I don’t really think there is a direct comparison to Tucasi.
  12. Maybe they're looking for recruitment advice? https://www.civilservicejobs.service.gov.uk/csr/jobs.cgi?owner=5070000&ownertype=fair&jcode=1578360&posting_code=0&language=
  13. Egress has a web interface for sending and receiving emails so can be used without Outlook?
  14. I suppose it does in the respect I am not alone then but I would like to know how to fix it! Have you raised a call with MS? @EduTech Seen this before?
  15. It's started doing this at home now too.
  16. I'm not surprised. I think as the 'leader' they make up their own prices knowing full well you'll probably pay it because you've already invested in it. It's a lot of money.
  17. If an email is encrypted is there then any further need to password it etc or is encryption sufficient to be 'compliant'?
  18. We use Tucasi. Tucasi | School Administration Software
  19. It's the Altos platform. (http://www.myphones.com/) Porting didn't take long at all. From memory we agreed a switch over time and at that moment any calls to the main number went through to the new phone system. It was painless.
  20. In Office 365 when composing an email and then clicking send, nothing happens. Has anyone come across this before? It seems to be specific to one single email account and is not isolated to a particular computer or browser.
  21. We went with Schools Broadband for an off prem solution, although looked at Gamma too, and SB managed all of the porting of numbers and setup of extensions etc. It practically runs itself now.
  22. Any pictures? Is it something that could be shared?
  23. That book could become more expensive than some electronic sign in systems.
  24. Did you run this after creating the templates? Can somebody point me in the direction of where the templates are created, as I have a blank dropdown when creating rules at the moment.
