Hi, We are looking into different hardware for projecting onto the white-board, interactive too, so we wondered if anyone has any recommendations? Mimio, EBeam edge, short throw interactive projectors etc. We currently use Promethean boards but some are quite old and failing.

We always have audio devices attached but still get the problem.....

We are getting similar problems, with a 'try again later' error or a 'Fix connection ' page. It will sometimes work in Chrome instead but not always, the same 'page can not be found' type of error. This does not affect everyone and the audio driver solution didn't work, but it is too random to pinpoint the problem.

[windows software] Cheap Windows 7 for teachers?
NikChillin replied to Koldov's topic in Licensing Questions
Microsoft do one for £50 although it is supposed to be for students, she might have eligible children she could use, worth looking at. It is available at the Microsoft store. -
Thanks, but the teacher wants to replicate a web hosting experience through Dreamweaver. Everything else works fine but this bit has stopped working for some reason.
-
As a matter of interest, does anyone else use Dreamweaver cs6 to ftp and connect to their databases? Mine was working fine but now access to the databases fails with http: 401 error, however, using phpmyadmin access works fine. This is quite frustrating as the teacher wants access through the Dreamweaver interface.

Personally, I find the reporting a bit of a pain. Before you select the criteria for the report you want it has already started a default report, this means you can end up waiting hours for a report.

City Europe is a good place to go, they have loads of shops, pharmacy bars and restaurants and it is all under cover. They also have a supermarket - Carrefour, which sells wine and beer. Only five min drive from the port. Calais itself isn't much to look at. Have a look here.

We found this on the top of a cupboard a few years ago, it still works too although only text based, no GUI. Th last time it was used was 1998.

Returning staff, recreating userarea
NikChillin replied to NikChillin's topic in How do you do....it?
We haven't had many issues like this before as we would just disable the account but the new head wants the accounts deleted, now a couple of people have returned I vave recreated their account in AD and the folder path is correct but as MatthewL mentioned, the SID is most likely different. When they save their work it is putting the files on the C:\ although all permissions seem fine. -
Ho do you do this? We usually delete them from AD after a while so when they return we create a new account with the same name, however, it seems that the userarea that the AD account pointed to isn't happy. Easily fixed - but your thoughts.....

Installing a PHP/MySQL Development Server for students on Windows Server 2012 - Part1
NikChillin commented on sonofsanta's blog entry in sonofsanta's Blog
Hi Fiza, I didn't do the mapped drive part as the teacher wanted ftp access. -
Have a look at the blog by Sonofsanta, Installing a PHP/MySQL Development Server for students on Windows Server 2012 - Part1 - Blogs - EduGeek.net and Installing a PHP/MySQL Development Server for students on Windows Server 2012 - Part2 - Blogs - EduGeek.net I used this but modified a few things as the teacher also wanted a PHPMYADMIN access for students to their individual databases and their own user account to put their files into so they could ftp using Dreamweaver. In effect, trying to replicate the user experience for the student.

I get fed up hearing how some areas have ridiculously fast broadband! We have 2MB at best and watching Youtube is a rarity as it buffers every 30 seconds. We don't even have copper, only aluminium cabling! I even have to reset the router several times over the weekend as the connection drops. BT aren't interested in putting FTTC as it would only serve a couple of hundred houses.

MYSql - Script batch create users & dbs
NikChillin replied to peterdoherty's topic in How do you do....it?
I know this is an old thread but I am trying to achieve the same thing, however, using MYSQL 5.5, I keep getting syntax errors. I am a novice at this and need to create 150 databases with their own permissions. I will also try the backup listed later too. hopefully have more luck there. -
Plugged in USB connection and it works fine now.
