its toggle keys (we think) holding down num lock for 5 secs then when you press a lock key (caps, num, scroll) it bleeps with RM ones its a very loud
-
they dont have cmd access the staff are finding out what command is being pressed this lesson. to disable locally you can go to device manager show hidden devices then on the bleep option and stop it. but this would have to be done locally per station, really cba then remember each rebuild
-
Our kids have found some command which when held down makes the internal speaker bleep repeatedly and is driving our staff up the wall. i have found out how to do this manually but cba to do it on all stations. does any one know of a way to do this globally?

been there done that lol either that or i was doing something complex where you have to be in the right mind set and after getting bk you really not and takes another hour to get back into it lol so from the simple job of pushing a nw cable in a station in music thats 5 mins there 2 second fix, 5 min walk back getting nabbed on the way bk 2 lol hour and a half til you can get bk to the same level of efficency lol

we arnt as bad as we used to be thinking about it. we have done a good job on educating staff in some areas, others need doing. also rm ones help the old cables unplugged prob. we have a lot of can i have more psrinter creds (tho we are looking at printing solutions) more space (silly new it multimedia units grrr) paper (which is next door grrr) restore work (work which vanished???) iwb not working (turned off) ------ web dev (not paid for, just had head of it ask me do a e-room booking system, really want to but dont get paid for it *sigh* (wasnt goin to mention this again but he just come in) ------ agree about the distruptiveness of these simple things, which is mostly down to educating the staff, X not working check this list is what we say on staff inductions, doesnt work in practice sometimes but at least we tried.

-
some may recall previous posts about what ppl have done to quell printing costs. after a meeting with our rm account manager we had been incontact with IOT and waiting to hear from another company or two concerning enterprise printing: cutting down on quant of printers and running management software on the servers, and follow-you printing. have any of you been down this route? what are your opinions?

i have my steelys on now, they are my old ones from back int' day at iceland, had them about 4 years now. apart from scratches on the toe they are in perfect order. tbh they dont look smart, i have a brown suit on atm which looks gr8 but scruffy black steel toes. i normally go thru proper shoes in a few months my current ones have a 45 degree heel atm,

i enjoy going to work in a shirt and tie, then going the pub after and looking like a professional. the only times i have been pulled about my attire was when i was on work experience here i wore suit trousers and a shirt (tucked in) but no tie. the next was one summer 1st thing i was the only one in and a switch had died, this controlled the admin office and was urgent. i was running rnd and had yet to put my tie on, the boss noticed and comented, think i muttered something really fast whilst running. think i appologised whilst having a pee later in the day. (even tho the head has his own loo he uses the staff one)

had a member of teaching staff stood behind me when this was on screen......the look and sounds of confusion lol:rolleyes:
-
chewing gum duty, with an old wooden, on its last legs ruler, and if they break it a colleague asks them to pay for it if they have no money............push-ups. this was only once, damn funny, the kid took it in jest too, the next time the teacher did the same thing but when he saw the kid would do the push-ups he let him go. personally i give them a shouting at, if that fails, find out their name, and report to either smt or hod
