Cables can legally be taken by any recycler. It's anthing with a circuit board that technically requires WEE.

If your a school only procure from government frameworks.

An air conditioner - air to air will dry the air in the house if you want it to so that will be a big benefit if you have a damp house. A water heat pump won't as the unit is generally outside

OK ta looks like it is not just me going mad then!

Mav is right - insulate as much as you can first and then you know what you are dealing with and can size your system appropirately. Most people dont realise how much of a difference it makes e.g. i have not had my heating on yet but I talk to many that are grumbling that they have been burning that $$gas$$

Anyone else getting loads of HWB licence issues in adobe today - it is saying they only have 6 days left on pupils and staff. All licences are correctly allocated. Have reported it to HWB support. Cheers

The cold water tank is to provide (some) pressure for your taps. the heating tank is to provide expansion room so that if your boiler or tank has a technical issue and overheats your tank doesnt explode killing you and your family. (has happened). Franky the whole lot is totally outdated now. The modern way would be a new tank and a heat pump. The budget way would be a Combi boiler which frankly just does its job day in day out for 10 years for not muchy money. The defining factor for me is do you have solar power? if so = heat pump, if not = combi boiler. Up to you.

If your talking about loading the whole school by using edit marks then that will always be slower as it's loading many hundreds of records at once.

The timeout number is just hiding the problem of why is it taking so long to load the data, that it times out - investigate why the database is slow.

That's my point though - we are trying our best. The defenition of "doing properly" it is simply unrealistic for many schools to meet. And jeees - we're ahead of a lot of companies I see - even the LA who are still picking out odd windows 2003 servers in random cuboards across the borough. -

I did mention this - that 14 days was very tight for a school to a) find out b) download c) test on a pc d) test on 60 pcs e) roll out to all other pcs, and do do this eith each and every patch day in day out given the level of staffing and comeplete lack of expensive auto patch software that schools usually end up with. Clearly fell on deaf ears. -
idoceo was the favourite here when we rolled out ipads

Sounds like the school doesnt even have apple school manager set up or a MDM like mosyle? You'll need to set all that up first before your supplier can do anything useful in terms of a white glove service. This is also not usually free, so if you havent paid for it you problably would have to set them up yourself

Framework Framework Framework. If it isn't on the Gov frameworks don't touch it with a barge pole no matter what the small local company promises. Literally thousands of schools around the UK have been conned into terrrible photocopying leases over the last 20 years. Frameworks have stopped this in it's tracks.
